Path to 9/11 Writer Admits Controversial Scene Was "Improvised"

ABC is marketing its docudrama, The Path to 9/11, as "based on the 9/11 Commission Report." But yesterday, writer Cyrus Nowrasteh admitted that the film's most controversial scene was based on nothing at all. Nowrasteh told a radio station that the scene was "improvised."

1. It's his movie
let him be as irresponsible as he wants with what he says. Then boycott ABC, but don't push for censorship of any type of free speech! That is going to be a whole new brick for the right to build it's bull flag burning laws.

2. Censorship is what this movie is doing... It is censoring
the truth and trying to change history... Get your facts right...

PS...... Fuck the right, they will do what they do anyway....

5. Good point.
I don't want to censor it any more than the Freepers wanted to censor F 9/11 or "The Reagans." The difference here is the claim it was based on the Commission Report when in fact some scene make that flat out false.

I really appreciate your respectful reply. I honestly feel like the truth has been thrown out the window by both sides and all we are doing is allowing precedents to be set by those who would control more of what we can to say about whomever we want to say it. I like the thinking that goes on when we can maintain calm and dignity and not start cursing and carrying on about how wrong someone is for making a movie. speaking of the freepers, they did this same crap when MM released F9/11. I like to think that we are head and shoulders above those guys.

3. So, we're to believe
that a set was built, technicians worked for hours on lighting, props were placed just so and blocking tape was carefully laid out based on the distance an actor needs to be from camera in order to hit their light (and therefor be seen), a script was worked and reworked by "committee" (a group of producers/wanna-be writers around a table) before going in front of camera and yet, somehow, this "important scene" was left to the magic of improvisation? Damn. I wish people would let me improvise scenes in MY movies like that! :eyes:

At least we know the dirty dogs in charge of this big, lumbering lie are running scared and reaching for (implausible) excuses to cover their sorry arses. LOL

Oh, and the numbers for Disney and ABC have been rock solid busy for hours. Way to go, guys!
