Know your BFEE: Neil Bush hangs out with Russian Mafiya Godfather

One thing about Neil Bush, he goes where the money is. Most recently, he was seen with Boris Berezovsky, described politely as the exiled Russian kleptocrat billionaire.

Berezovsky and Bush's brother in the crowd at the Emirates

Paul Kelso
Tuesday September 5, 2006
The Guardian

The exiled Russian oligarch Boris Berezovsky has made his first public appearance since being linked with the takeover of West Ham. Berezovsky was at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday in the company of Neil Bush the brother of the US president, George Bush.

Berezovsky has invested in an online educational company founded by the president's younger brother and invited Bush to join him in his box at Arsenal to watch the Brazil-Argentina friendly. Also present were Alberto Dualib and Nesi Curi, president and vice-president of Corinthians, the Brazilian club that sold the Argentinian internationals Carlos Tévez and Javier Mascherano to West Ham United in the surprise deal of transfer deadline day.

A little background from “Forbes” on how Mr. Berezovsky got to be so attractive to Neil:

Godfather of the Kremlin?

12.30.96
Forbes.com

Power. Politics. Murder. Boris Berezovsky could teach the guys in Sicily a thing or two.
LAST NOVEMBER Ronald Lauder, billionaire heir to the Estée Lauder cosmetics fortune, traveled to Moscow to celebrate the opening of a posh boutique on Red Square. That evening Russian and American business leaders, U.S. Ambassador Thomas Pickering and President Boris Yeltsin's wife attended a party in Lauder's honor.

SNIP…

That Berezovsky can thus play cozy with Russia's president explains a lot of what is happening in Russia these days. Russia is a bubbling cauldron of criminal organizations--Sicily on a giant scale. Last year some 40,000 people were murdered in Russia and 70,000 disappeared--probably never to be heard of again. The murder rate in Russia is three or four times higher than in New York City.

Assassination is a tool of business competition. Scores of business leaders and media personalities have been killed. Ivan Kivelidi, a banker and founder of the Russian Business Roundtable, was murdered last year by poison (an obscure nerve toxin) applied to the rim of his coffee cup. Neither this nor any other of Russia's most famous contract killings has been solved.

In this violent world Boris Berezovsky looms like a giant shadow. Berezovsky recently claimed that he and six other top businessmen control 50% of the Russian economy. He is certainly one of the country's first dollar billionaires. His base is Logovaz, Russia's largest car dealership, but this is only the most visible tip of a golden iceberg.

In a recent interview with FORBES Berezovsky said: "Russia is undergoing a redistribution of property on a scale unprecedented in history. No one is satisfied--neither those who got nothing, nor those who got something, since even they feel they did not get enough."

Berezovsky is clearly one of those who never feels he has enough.

Celebrating a “full” moon, Neil rubs shoulder with the friend of both Yakuza and Commie, the publisher of The Washington Times, Rev. Sun Myung Moon.

Neil Bush Meets the Messiah

By John Gorenfeld, AlterNet
Posted on December 5, 2005, Printed on September 8, 2006
http://www.alternet.org/story/29054/

EXCERPT…

Moon's lobbying campaign is "ambitious and diffuse," as the D.C. newspaper The Hill reported last year, and the sheer range of guests revealed just how many Pacific Rim political leaders the Times owner has won over, including Filipino and Taiwanese politicians. And the head of the Arizona GOP attended a recent stop in San Francisco. But perhaps the most surprising VIP to tag along is Neil Bush, George H.W. Bush's youngest and most wayward son, who made both the Philippines and Taiwan legs of the journey, according to reports in newspapers from those countries and statements from Moon's Family Federation.

While Neil Bush and Moon's church couldn't be reached for comment on the tunnel or his speaking fees, a brochure from Moon's Family Federation underscores that the project is "God's fervent desire," dwarfing such past wonders as the Chunnel and heralding a "new era of automobile travel."

Moon, reviled in the 1980s as the leader of a group that separated young recruits from their families, says he is the Messiah. His far-flung business empire includes the UPI wire service, Washington, D.C. television studios, a gun factory, and enormous swaths of real estate, and he donates millions to conservative politics. In 1989, U.S. News & World Report linked his group to the Heritage Foundation and other conservative organizations. "Because almost all conservative organizations in Washington have some ties to church," wrote reporter John Judis, "conservatives ... fear repercussions if they expose the church's role."

SNIP…

Neil isn't the only Bush to attend Moon events. In 1996, his father, President George H.W. Bush, traveled to Buenos Aires with the Reverend in one of several such fundraising expeditions. "The 41st president, who told Argentine president Carlos Menem that he had joined Moon in Buenos Aires for the money, had actually known the Korean reasonably well for decades," writes former top GOP strategist Kevin Phillips in his book "American Dynasty." "Their relationship went back to the overlap between Bush's one-year tenure as CIA director (1976) and the arrival in Washington of Moon, whose Unification Church was widely reported to be a front group for the South Korean Central Intelligence Agency." Moon and his aides have called such claims bogus, saying his accusers were controlled by "Satan" to distract from his campaign to destroy communism.

SNIP…

Reverend Moon is the latest in a line of unusual partners for Neil Bush in recent years, including the son of former Chinese President Jiang Zemin, and fugitive Russian tycoon Boris Berezovsky, who has been promoting the younger Bush's educational software company, Ignite!, according to the Washington Post.

Neil also is known to pass the time, and loot, with friends from the Savings and Loan robbery days. In the late 80s and early 90s, that’s where Willie Sutton would go work because “That’s where the money (was).”

Something else to remember: in his inaugural address Poppy Bush said we had “more will than wallet” and yet still managed to find money to pay off the looted S&Ls, including Neil’s Silverado.

Silverado Savings and Loan

The Cover Up of a Cover Up

The following is the full text of a letter I sent to the San Jose Mercury News on April 18, 1994. The only changes are to improve the readibility of the letter in an HTML format.

TO: The San Jose Mercury News , 750 Ridder Park Drive, San Jose, CA, 95190

DATE: April 18, 1994

In my April 4th, 1994 letter to your newspaper on the Whitewater, Silverado, and Broward Affairs, I posed some questions for you and for the Congress to ask about the Silverado Banking and Savings and Loan Association of Colorado. Question 2 had to do with the beginning and end dates of the federal investigation into Silverado, the date of the first violation of law, and the date when the federal regulators first discovered this and other violations. Question 6 had to do with the names of the regulators, among others, involved in investigating Neil Bush and Silverado.

Another Savings and Loan: Another 1988 Bush Campaign Coverup These past two days, I have been fortunate enough to read the book Silverado: Neil Bush and the Savings and Loan Scandal by a Denver Post financial reporter, Steven Wilmsen. Wilmsen broke several of the key financial stories on Silverado in that newspaper and in the Denver Business Journal. In Silverado, I discovered partial answers to both of the above questions; I also discovered another coverup involving the Bush Campaign of 1988 that directly involved the head of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Topeka, Kansas and a mysterious voice from Washington. Between them they delayed the Federal takeover of Silverado until the day after Bush was elected, at an estimated cost to the American people of between $400 million dollars and $600 million dollars (details below).

The cast of characters:

    • Michael R. Wise, Chairman and CEO of Silverado.

    • Neil Bush, a member of the Silverado Board of Directors - 1985 to August 1988.

    • Bill L. Waters, the largest developer in Denver.

    • Kenneth M. Good, the second largest developer in Denver; contributer of $100,000 to the 1988 Bush campaign.

    • Larry Mizel, developer and owner of M.D.C. Holdings, Inc. nation's fifth largest home builder, raiser of millions of dollars for politicians ( usually Republicans - he raised a million dollars at a single luncheon for Ronald Reagean in 1986).

    • Kermit Mowbray, President of the Kansas Federal Home Loan Bank (one of the 12 regional banks directed by the Federal Home Loan Bank Board in Washington)

    • Dorothy van Cleave, S&L Examiner, Kansas Federal Home Loan Bank

    • Terry Sandefur, S&L Analyst, Topeka, Kansas Federal Home Loan Bank

Walters, Good, Neil Bush and Bush's Oil Exploration Firm - JNB, Inc. Until I read Silverado, I was under the impression that Walters and Good were simply investors in JNB, Inc. They were more than that; without them the oil exploration firm would have never existed. Not that it mattered, JNB, Inc. never drilled an oil well that made money in the five years it operated. In addition, Bush concealed his close relationships with Walters, Good and Mizel from the other members of the Silverado board, resulting in major conflicts of interest.

Walters, Good, Mizel and Michael Wise. The collusion between these three men during the glory days of Silverado Banking has to be seen to be believed. Wilmsen describes some of their initial dealings on page 81 of Silverado:

Good conjured up a significant portion of his money in elaborate deals that created wealth where none had been -- with a little help from obliging savings and loans like Silverado. For example, Good and several partners traded two parcels of vacant land three times in six months with the value increasing each time until they finally sold them to Silverado for a $3.2 million profit. Good and Walters had become two of Silverado's most reliable customers. Each had taken out millions in Silverado loans and they had helped Silverado recapitalize itself in 1984. Silverado was desp(e)rately short of capital, so it had come up with a scheme to raise it by issuing stock in exchange for real estate. In the deal, Silverado traded shares of its stock for raw land from both developers, issuing $15 million in stock to Walters and $14 million to Good. The thrift then included the land in its capital.

Mr. Berezovsky and Neil may’ve gotten their inspiration from the same source, or perhaps they were merely sharing techniques.

Bust Out - A technique devised by organized crime to loot large sums of money from unsuspecting businesses prior to the movement of organized crime into the looting of S&Ls after the Reagan deregulation. Soon picked up by the Savings and Loan criminals.

Thanks, blm. I got the mug for it.

I know you know, but Neil Bush is pals with Unka Prescott's ChiCom buddies:

Neil Bush business links in spotlight

By Hamish McDonald, Herald Correspondent in Beijing
November 28, 2003

Revelations that President George Bush's younger brother has a sinecure worth $US400,000 ($550,000) a year with a Chinese firm partly owned by the son of the senior leader Jiang Zemin have thrown a new sleaze factor into US-China relations.

The business link was exposed in court papers leaked from Neil Bush's messy divorce proceedings in Houston, Texas, and could add to pressure on President Bush to show toughness towards rapidly rising Chinese imports ahead of the presidential and congressional elections next November.

In the past week the Bush Administration has slapped a succession of restrictions and extra duties on Chinese imports ranging from bras to colour TV sets to placate domestic lobbies - even if, as in the case of bras, there are no longer any factories in the US making the product.

A leaked court transcript published in US newspapers on Tuesday includes details of Neil Bush's consultancy contract signed in August last year with a computer chip firm, Grace Semiconductor Manufacturing of Shanghai, whose main investors include Jiang Mianheng, son of Jiang Zemin, the former Chinese president, who held a summit with President Bush in Texas in October last year and who remains chairman of China's powerful Central Military Commission.

The consultancy was proposed by Winston Wong, a founder of Grace Semiconductor who is the son of Wang Yung-ching, founder of Taiwan's biggest business group, Formosa Plastics. Mr Wong had been an investor since 2000 in an Austin, Texas, company started by Neil Bush to provide internet learning programs.

To pay something back, a little light on just three little greedheads:

Jeb, Marvin & Neil - 3 Profiteering Bush Brothers

January 28, 2005
By: Evelyn Pringle
Independent Media TV

Its time to take a closer look at First Brothers, Jeb, Neil, and Marvin Bush, and see how much they stand to benefit from W's presidency and his perpetual war on the world.
First, there's brother Marvin. He's the quietest member of the Bush clan. Marvin is co-founder and partner in Winston Partners, a private investment firm. In turn, Winston Partners is part of a larger firm called the Chatterjee Group.

Here's where it gets complicated. Marvin is obviously the family member with a sound criminal mind. He has managed to bury almost all the evidence of his profiteering profits inside a host of corporations and entities, with many being located offshore. Its not easy to track the money through such a tangled web. But it can be done.

SEC filings show that the Chatterjee Group consists of Winston Partners, LP; Chatterjee Fund Management, LP; Winston Partners II LDC, a Cayman Islands-based company; Winston Partners II LLC; Chatterjee Advisors LLC; Chatterjee Management Company; Mr. Chatterjee himself; and Furxedown Trading Limited, a company organized under the laws of the Isle of Man. The address for Winston Partners II LDC is in the Netherlands Antilles. The other subsidiaries were organized in Delaware

Marvin is not the only family member plugged into the group. Brother Jeb is also an investor in the Winston Capital Fund, which happens to be managed by Marvin's firm.

Profits From Iraq

Following the tangled web of Winston this and Winston that, is difficult in itself, but tracing the links to Iraq is even more difficult. A good place to start is with a company known as Nour USA. According to the Sept 30, 2003, issue of Mother Jones, an $80 million Iraq contract was awarded to Nour, a company with ties to Winston Partners.

Neil certainly does appreciate comfort women. As long as he doesn't have to pay for "it."

Bush brother's divorce reveals sex romps

HOUSTON, Texas (Reuters) --Neil Bush, younger brother of President Bush, detailed lucrative business deals and admitted to engaging in sex romps with women in Asia in a deposition taken in March as part of his divorce from now ex-wife Sharon Bush.

According to legal documents disclosed Tuesday, Sharon Bush's lawyers questioned Neil Bush closely about the deals, especially a contract with Grace Semiconductor Manufacturing Corp., a firm backed by Jiang Mianheng, the son of former Chinese President Jiang Zemin, that would pay him $2 million in stock over five years.

Marshall Davis Brown, lawyer for Sharon Bush, expressed bewilderment at why Grace would want Bush and at such a high price since he knew little about the semiconductor business.

"You have absolutely no educational background in semiconductors do you?" asked Brown.

"That's correct," Bush, 48, responded in the March 4 deposition, a transcript of which was read by Reuters after the Houston Chronicle first reported on the documents.

34. Bush Family Value$
You're welcome, notadmblnd. Thanks for the kind words. I'm always happy to help a Friend.

Here's more light. A real journalist goes after the Truth:

Bush Family Value$

The Bush clan's family business

Stephen Pizzo
MotherJones.com September 01 , 1992

In 1991, President Bush bristled at a flurry of news accounts that questioned the business ethics of three of his sons. "The media ought to be ashamed of itself for what they're doing," Bush complained. "They have a right to make a living, and their relationships are appropriate," added a White House spokeswoman in June 1992.

Since George Bush has raised "family values" as a campaign issue repeatedly, though, it seems only fair to take a look at his own family. A computer search showed that over the past five years stories have periodically surfaced chronicling the individual business antics of the president's sons -- each riding comfortably through life in the slipstream of his father's growing power and influence.

Although a handful of good reporters for the New York Times, LA Times, Village Voice, and Wall Street Journal have diligently been digging through business records for months, something has been missing: an overview that "connects the dots" in the myriad deals that have been examined, making it clear that cashing in on influence has become a pattern of behavior extending through the first family.

Instead of criticizing reporters, the president might more wisely begin listening to those in government who have watched his sons with mounting worry. A year ago, I sat across a desk from a Secret Service agent who had been assigned to Bush-family security. I rattled off the names of a half-dozen questionable characters who had found their way into business deals with the Bush boys. How had these characters been allowed to get even close to the president's sons?

The agent slumped back in his chair and sighed. "We warn them," he said in a whisper. "But that's all we can do. We can't stop these kids from associating with someone they want to be with. All we can do after warning them is to sweep these guys with metal detectors when they come around."

29. Here's some more stuff:
http://enemyofthestate.blogstream.com/emailBlog.mod?PID=56244

March 1, 2006 -- Dubai -- the emirate has the smoking gun evidence tying the Bush criminal cartel to arms trafficking, Viktor Bout, the Taliban, and Al Qaeda.
...
From his base in Sharjah in the Gulf, Bout was servicing Ariana Afghan Airline flights to Kandahar, Afghanistan. These flights were believed to be ferrying weapons and Al Qaeda and Taliban volunteers to Afghanistan and the Clinton National Security Council strongly believed Bout was aiding terrorism. Belgium issued an INTERPOL international arrest warrant for Bout for money laundering and diamond smuggling. Clinton White House counter-terrorism czar Richard Clarke wanted an arrest warrant issued for Bout. Gayle Smith, Clinton’s National Security Council Africa bureau chief, along with CIA and British MI-6 agents, kept a wary eye on Bout’s activities in Africa’s conflicts.

After Bush was inaugurated in 2001, Sharjah police sent a special police unit to Sharjah airport to capture Bout and hand him over to U.S. authorities, but the White House declined. National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice told U.S. intelligence that when it came to Bout, "look but don’t touch.” After 911, Rice inexplicably called off all operations aimed at Bout. Law enforcement and intelligence agents considered such a move amazing, considering Bout’s direct links to smuggling arms to the Taliban and Al Qaeda, as well as to other areas of the world that were rife with Islamist terrorist groups.
...
In addition, Bout’s Texas-based Air Bas had rights to refuel at U.S. bases in Iraq. One of Bout’s airfreight companies, Airbus, was subcontracted through another firm called Falcon Express of Dubai, by Kellogg, Brown and Root, the subsidiary of Halliburton. Air Bas also had links to Falcon Express.

Much more info at the above link about shady money laundering operations in the UAE, closely-knit oil industry and Halliburton ties, involvement of the old Iran-Contra fraternity, the Carlyle Group and the UAE ports deal, and of course Neil Bush.

There's also this:

http://911review.org/brad.com/911contractors/CIA_contractors_isreali.html

Additional ties between southern Christian fundamentalists, Texas oil interests, and Russian-Israeli mobsters and weapons smugglers uncovered. According to informed Washington insiders, there is increasing evidence of financial links between key "Christian Right" GOP notables and an international ring of Russian-Ukrainian-Israeli mobsters.
...

35. Pat Robertson's Gold
Thanks for the important articles and info, bobthedrummer. The USG chart on Bout and his Syrian-American and bin-Laden buddy Chichakli is a must-have.

For those interested in Viktor Bout:

http://www.ruudleeuw.com/vbout00.htm

Bout is, or was, very good friends with Charles Taylor. It's no reach to see they may have more than one very conservative friend in common:

Pat Robertson's Gold

By Colbert I. King
Saturday, September 22, 2001; Page A29

Last week's terrorist attacks brought out the worst in televangelists Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell. Three days after hijacked jetliners slammed into the Pentagon, the World Trade Center and the Pennsylvania countryside, Robertson posted a statement on his Christian Broadcast Network (CBN) Web site announcing that pornography, rampant secularism, the occult, abortion, the absence of prayer in schools and insults of God "at the highest level of our government" had sent the Almighty over the edge. America was attacked, Robertson asserted, "because God Almighty is lifting His protection from us."

SNIP...

Which is the subject of today's column, and the basis for this humble question: What, pray tell, does the Good Lord make of Pat Robertson's gold-mining venture in Liberia with Charles Taylor, international pariah and one of the most ruthless, greedy and terror-producing heads of state in all of sub-Saharan Africa?

What? He didn't know?

Well it probably slipped Robertson's mind, busy as he is in getting people to send in those checks, money orders and love offerings to support his cause. How the reverend found time to hook up with Taylor, I'll never know.

But in May 1999, Robertson, through Freedom Gold Limited, an offshore company registered in the Cayman Islands but based at CBN headquarters in Virginia Beach, signed an agreement with Taylor and key cabinet members allowing the for-profit Freedom Gold to explore and receive mining rights in southeastern Liberia, where gold is believed to be in the ground.

It's a great deal for Liberia, which is now an economic basket case thanks to the long civil war and Taylor's corruption. It's also good for Freedom Gold, which was formed by Robertson in 1998. Liberia -- and for all practical purposes we're talking Taylor -- gains 10 percent ownership of Freedom Gold.

36. CIA Instructions to Media Assets re: Assassination of President Kennedy
Call me a loony liberal or call me a conspiracy theorist, I don't care which.

Because of public ignorance, the Bush Crime Family has gotten away with murder, mass murder, genocide, warmongering and on and on and on.

Thanks for wanting to do something about it, orwell.

CIA Instructions to Media Assets

CIA Document #1035-960, marked "PSYCH" for presumably Psychological Warfare Operations, in the division "CS", the Clandestine Services, sometimes known as the "dirty tricks" department.

RE: Concerning Criticism of the Warren Report

1. Our Concern. From the day of President Kennedy's assassination on, there has been speculation about the responsibility for his murder. Although this was stemmed for a time by the Warren Commission report, (which appeared at the end of September 1964), various writers have now had time to scan the Commission's published report and documents for new pretexts for questioning, and there has been a new wave of books and articles criticizing the Commission's findings. In most cases the critics have speculated as to the existence of some kind of conspiracy, and often they have implied that the Commission itself was involved. Presumably as a result of the increasing challenge to the Warren Commission's report, a public opinion poll recently indicated that 46% of the American public did not think that Oswald acted alone, while more than half of those polled thought that the Commission had left some questions unresolved. Doubtless polls abroad would show similar, or possibly more adverse results.

2. This trend of opinion is a matter of concern to the U.S. government, including our organization. The members of the Warren Commission were naturally chosen for their integrity, experience and prominence. They represented both major parties, and they and their staff were deliberately drawn from all sections of the country. Just because of the standing of the Commissioners, efforts to impugn their rectitude and wisdom tend to cast doubt on the whole leadership of American society. Moreover, there seems to be an increasing tendency to hint that President Johnson himself, as the one person who might be said to have benefited, was in some way responsible for the assassination. Innuendo of such seriousness affects not only the individual concerned, but also the whole reputation of the American government. Our organization itself is directly involved: among other facts, we contributed information to the investigation. Conspiracy theories have frequently thrown suspicion on our organization, for example by falsely alleging that Lee Harvey Oswald worked for us. The aim of this dispatch is to provide material countering and discrediting the claims of the conspiracy theorists, so as to inhibit the circulation of such claims in other countries. Background information is supplied in a classified section and in a number of unclassified attachments.

3. Action. We do not recommend that discussion of the assassination question be initiated where it is not already taking place. Where discussion is active addresses are requested:

    a. To discuss the publicity problem with (?)and friendly elite contacts (especially politicians and editors), pointing out that the Warren Commission made as thorough an investigation as humanly possible, that the charges of the critics are without serious foundation, and that further speculative discussion only plays into the hands of the opposition. Point out also that parts of the conspiracy talk appear to be deliberately generated by Communist propagandists. Urge them to use their influence to discourage unfounded and irresponsible speculation.

    b. To employ propaganda assets to and refute the attacks of the critics. Book reviews and feature articles are particularly appropriate for this purpose. The unclassified attachments to this guidance should provide useful background material for passing to assets. Our ploy should point out, as applicable, that the critics are (I) wedded to theories adopted before the evidence was in, (II) politically interested, (III) financially interested, (IV) hasty and inaccurate in their research, or (V) infatuated with their own theories. In the course of discussions of the whole phenomenon of criticism, a useful strategy may be to single out Epstein's theory for attack, using the attached Fletcher article and Spectator piece for background. (Although Mark Lane's book is much less convincing that Epstein's and comes off badly where confronted by knowledgeable critics, it is also much more difficult to answer as a whole, as one becomes lost in a morass of unrelated details.)
    4. In private to media discussions not directed at any particular writer, or in attacking publications which may be yet forthcoming, the following arguments should be useful:

      a. No significant new evidence has emerged which the Commission did not consider. The assassination is sometimes compared (e.g., by Joachim Joesten and Bertrand Russell) with the Dreyfus case; however, unlike that case, the attack on the Warren Commission have produced no new evidence, no new culprits have been convincingly identified, and there is no agreement among the critics. (A better parallel, though an imperfect one, might be with the Reichstag fire of 1933, which some competent historians (Fritz Tobias, AJ.P. Taylor, D.C. Watt) now believe was set by Vander Lubbe on his own initiative, without acting for either Nazis or Communists; the Nazis tried to pin the blame on the Communists, but the latter have been more successful in convincing the world that the Nazis were to blame.)

      b. Critics usually overvalue particular items and ignore others. They tend to place more emphasis on the recollections of individual witnesses (which are less reliable and more divergent--and hence offer more hand-holds for criticism) and less on ballistics, autopsy, and photographic evidence. A close examination of the Commission's records will usually show that the conflicting eyewitness accounts are quoted out of context, or were discarded by the Commission for good and sufficient reason.

      c. Conspiracy on the large scale often suggested would be impossible to conceal in the United States, esp. since informants could expect to receive large royalties, etc. Note that Robert Kennedy, Attorney General at the time and John F. Kennedy's brother, would be the last man to overlook or conceal any conspiracy. And as one reviewer pointed out, Congressman Gerald R. Ford would hardly have held his tongue for the sake of the Democratic administration, and Senator Russell would have had every political interest in exposing any misdeeds on the part of Chief Justice Warren. A conspirator moreover would hardly choose a location for a shooting where so much depended on conditions beyond his control: the route, the speed of the cars, the moving target, the risk that the assassin would be discovered. A group of wealthy conspirators could have arranged much more secure conditions.

      d. Critics have often been enticed by a form of intellectual pride: they light on some theory and fall in love with it; they also scoff at the Commission because it did not always answer every question with a flat decision one way or the other. Actually, the make-up of the Commission and its staff was an excellent safeguard against over-commitment to any one theory, or against the illicit transformation of probabilities into certainties.

      e. Oswald would not have been any sensible person's choice for a co-conspirator. He was a "loner," mixed up, of questionable reliability and an unknown quantity to any professional intelligence service. (Archivist's note: This claim is demonstrably untrue with the latest file releases. The CIA had an operational interest in Oswald less than a month before the assassination. Source: Oswald and the CIA, John Newman and newly released files from the National Archives.)

      f. As to charges that the Commission's report was a rush job, it emerged three months after the deadline originally set. But to the degree that the Commission tried to speed up its reporting, this was largely due to the pressure of irresponsible speculation already appearing, in some cases coming from the same critics who, refusing to admit their errors, are now putting out new criticisms.

      g. Such vague accusations as that "more than ten people have died mysteriously" can always be explained in some natural way e.g.: the individuals concerned have for the most part died of natural causes; the Commission staff questioned 418 witnesses (the FBI interviewed far more people, conduction 25,000 interviews and re interviews), and in such a large group, a certain number of deaths are to be expected. (When Penn Jones, one of the originators of the "ten mysterious deaths" line, appeared on television, it emerged that two of the deaths on his list were from heart attacks, one from cancer, one was from a head-on collision on a bridge, and one occurred when a driver drifted into a bridge abutment.)

    5. Where possible, counter speculation by encouraging reference to the Commission's Report itself. Open-minded foreign readers should still be impressed by the care, thoroughness, objectivity and speed with which the Commission worked. Reviewers of other books might be encouraged to add to their account the idea that, checking back with the report itself, they found it far superior to the work of its critics.

52. One obvious fact-in the BFEE political assassination and other wetwork
used to be routinely framed (literally and figuratively) in the context of THE LONE NUT ASSASSIN (which can be drawn from an inventory of them) never the reality of a network or mention of a CONSPIRACY.

Thank goodness those days are gone as people on all sides of this are simply stating the truth.

55. During his final days as Director, CIA, Richard McGarrah Helms
and his Deputy Director Mr. Karramessines were busy "cleaning house".

One of the things Mr. Helms did was to order an operational description change for some of the illegal world wide programs (that also operated domestically) like MHCHAOS, which was headed by Richard Ober.

The operational description change was from "political dissidents" to "international terrorists" and MHCHAOS became the International Terrorism Group also headed by Richard Ober. Helms and Karramessines resigned from the CIA 17 days later.

This operational description change took place 12-5-1972 and was reported on 12-22-1974 in a NYT article by Seymour Hersh.

After Helms "resigned", Nixon appointed James Schlesinger as Director CIA.
Schlesinger made William Colby his Deputy Director. After Watergate, President Gerald Ford (in another "investigation" of "intelligence") created the Rockefeller Commission.

Within the Rockefeller Commission was the (Frank)Church Committee.
On September 16, 1975 William Colby appeared before the Church Committee in regards to political assassinations.

There's a bit more to add to all this history. William Colby died mysteriously, his body was later found in Chesapeake Bay; Richard McGarrah Helms (who also was the main force behind US mind control "research" and whose maternal grandfather, Gates McGarrah, helped future Nazi Minister of Economics Minister Hlajmar Schact's dream of a consortium of the world's central banks {including The Federal Reserve} become a reality as the Bank of International Settlements/BIS)
became Ambassador to Iran. Helms initially came to public notice as a young UPI reporter with a worldwide exclusive interview with Adolph Hitler.

Later Helms niece, Lalli Helms became the public relations spokesperson for the Taliban, working out of her New Jersey home just across the river from NYC (her husband worked for Chase Manhattan bank).

The BFEE has many family connections. When it comes to assassinations and other crimes as well as the art and science of covering them up let's remember people like Richard McGarrah Helms and organizations like the Technical Services Department or Dr. sidney Gottlieb and his Health Alteration Committee.

There's so much more to add to all this...

That Other Bush Boy

The president's brother Neil hopes to profit from his family's influence.

Michael Scherer
May/June 2001 Issue

It has been more than a decade since Neil Bush, the president's younger brother, helped run a Colorado savings and loan into the ground, costing taxpayers $1 billion. In 1991, federal regulators restricted Neil's banking activities and fined him $50,000 -- but his family connections rescued him, as Republican supporters contributed to a special fund to defray his legal costs. Before long, Neil was once again living off the Bush name, fl ying to Kuwait with his father to sell antipollution equipment to oil contractors.

Now, with another Bush in the White House, Neil is back. During the presidential campaign he launched Ignite, an Internet start-up company poised to benefit from federal plans to pump more money into public education -- a move his brother fully supports. With Neil at the helm, Ignite quickly raised $7.1 million from 53 investors to produce educational software designed to enable teachers and administrators to track student learning through Web-based lessons. Public schools in Oklahoma are already looking at the system -- but those involved say that schools will need more public money to pay for it.

That's where George W. comes in. The federal government currently picks up more than 25 percent of the cost of providing schools with technology, and industry lobbyists want President Bush to increase the present subsidy of $1.5 billion -- paying for research to help private companies and providing grants to purchase technology services for schools. The Bush administration has responded favorably to the push for privatization. As Education Secretary Rod Paige said in February, "The market forces are going to be there."

Berezovsky Teams Up With Bush's Brother

Kremlin outcast Boris Berezovsky and Neil Bush, the scandal-tainted brother of the U.S. president, have joined forces in an educational software company that they are trying to promote in the former Soviet Union.

With the unusual partnership, Berezovsky most certainly has succeeded in further annoying President Vladimir Putin, who counts George W. Bush as a friend.

The investment in Bush's company, Ignite!, also sees him joining a well-connected group of former and current shareholders such as former President George H.W. Bush and major Asian and Middle East financiers, at a time when Berezovsky claims he has been struggling to gain permission to travel to the United States.

The flip side for Berezovsky is that he has become a shareholder in a U.S. company that has come under criticism in the United States for dumbing down schoolwork and for peddling political ties.

Dubai funds Neil Bush's company
Posted: February 27, 2006

Investors from the United Arab Emirates helped fund the $23 million Neil Bush raised for Ignite!, the learning systems company that holds lucrative No Child Left Behind Act contracts in Florida and Texas. The "Cow" is an Ignite! portable computer designed to work in a classroom, providing interactive instruction aimed at improving students' scores on standardized tests. If you loved Billy Carter and "Billy Beer," you're certain to love Neil Bush and the "Ignite! Cow."

Neil Bush's frequent travels to Dubai are documented by Datamatix, a Dubai-based information technology company that has featured Neil Bush as a speaker. The Datamatix website features several prominent photographs of Neil Bush addressing a Dubai conference, identifying Neil Bush as "the brother of U.S. President George Bush."

Dubai's Datamatix appears to be bipartisan, as the company's website also shows Dubai appearances of various Democratic Party luminaries including Al Gore (with and without a beard), Sandy Berger – the National Security Adviser under President Clinton who achieved fame by stuffing classified documents in his socks – and Howard Dean, the current Democratic National Committee chairman. The site also shows photographs of Tipper Gore and John Sununu receiving "Token of Appreciation" awards in Dubai from Datamatix. Anti-Bush Internet websites have been touting the Neil Bush connection with Dubai for months, although the story has been largely shut out of the mainstream media. (See Debbie Schlussel's Feb. 23, 2006, column, "Something's Rotten in Dubai.")

Former first lady's donation aids son
Katrina funds earmarked to pay for Neil Bush's software program

Former first lady Barbara Bush donated an undisclosed amount of money to the Bush-Clinton Katrina Fund with specific instructions that the money be spent with an educational software company owned by her son Neil.

Since then, the Ignite Learning program has been given to eight area schools that took in substantial numbers of Hurricane Katrina evacuees.

"Mrs. Bush wanted to do something specifically for education and specifically for the thousands of students flooding into the Houston schools," said Jean Becker, former President Bush's chief of staff. "She knew that HISD was using this software program, and she's very excited about this program, so she wanted to make it possible for them to expand the use of this program."

The former first lady plans to visit a Houston Independent School District campus using the Ignite program today to call on local business leaders to support schools and education.
Houston Chronicle

"...In October 2001, shortly after the United States began bombing Afghanistan, Neil stopped off at an international technology conference in Dubai. He was fishing for investors for his latest business venture -- Ignite Inc., an interactive education software company that he founded in March 1999. Ignite aims to help students improve their standardized test scores.

Melinda George, director of the education division of the Washington, D.C.-based Software and Information Industry Association -- of which Ignite is a member -- told the Austin Business Journal that the company is Web-based and tracks individualized learning styles. Standardized testing is one of the centerpieces of Dubya's education program..."

<snipper>

In late January 2002, Neil dropped in on Saudi Arabia and delivered the keynote address on the concluding day of the three-day Jeddah Economic Forum. The president's brother told the conferees that the best way to change perceptions in the United States about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict was to expand their political lobbying. Neil maintained that the American public favored Israel because of intense lobbying of U.S. politicians by Israeli supporters.

<snipper>

Neil has also divorced himself from 42 percent of Ignite's workforce. According to a late-October 2002 story in the Austin Business Journal, a $15 million deal with Grupo Carso Telecom SA allows Ignite, Inc. "to outsource software production" to the Mexican telecommunications giant, which will "help Ignite's bottom line as well as give it the resources to develop additional course software more quickly."

<snipper>

Is Neil a wealthy man? Would the $1000 a month offer have maxed out his bank account? In late April, the Sydney Morning Herald reported that Bush made nearly $800,000 in 2000. And thus far, Ignite has been able to raise between $23 and $40 million. According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, investors include Knowledge Universe, a company chaired by former junk bond king Michael Milken; the Nagase Brothers education company in Japan; Bush's parents; Winston Wong, a Taiwan businessman who started the Grace Semiconductor Manufacturing Corp. with the eldest son of China's president, Jiang Zemin; and Timothy Bridgewater, the chief executive of Interlink Management, the venture capital firm he and Neil started, also one of the Republican “Pioneers” who helped George W. Bush raise at least $100,000 during the 2000 campaign.

Working for Change

"...The fact is that Israel is an important factor in the ongoing, nation-shaking power struggle now going on in Russia. Yet AP virtually never reports this connection. For example, a few months ago in a typical AP story on this power struggle, "Report: Russia again charges Berezovsky," <4> Moscow AP Bureau Chief Judith Ingram makes no mention anywhere that Berezovsky is an Israeli citizen, or of his many connections to Israel.

<snipper>

Boris Berezovsky is one of seven "oligarchs," as they are known both inside and outside Russia: massively rich, powerful manipulators who through violence, theft and corruption acquired a mammoth percentage (reports range from 70 to 85 percent) of Russia's resources, from its oil to the auto industry to mass media outlets.

At the same time, the group steadily gained control over much of the country's political apparatus. Using extraordinary financial resources and insider dealing, the oligarchs handpicked prime ministers and governmental leaders and barely even bothered to do this behind the scenes.

<snipper>

Having an Israeli citizen at the highest levels of the Russian government is ideal, from Israel's point of view. In Berezovsky they had such a man. The Jerusalem Post article mentioned above is revealing. It describes Berezovsky as "the Godfather of the Oligarchs' and Kingmaker of Russia's Politics'" and reports Berezovsky's statement that "Putin's Russia is dangerous for Israel." Berezovsky goes on to assert that Putin "supports terror" in the Middle East through Russia's previous relations with Iraq and current relations with Iran.

<snipper>

As a result of the media uproar over Berezovsky's Israeli citizenship and other events, the Oligarchs' connections to Israel are widely known in Russia and elsewhere. In Israel they are covered frequently, often with adulation, including a recent hit Israeli TV series called "The Oligarchs."

The Bush Family's War Profiteering

Written by Administrator
Thursday, 24 February 2005

The extent of Iraq contracts going to corporations which involve members of President George W. Bush's family is widespread and extensive involving hundreds of millions of dollars. Often these firms receive contracts where the corporations have no expertise and certainly the Bush family members have no expertise or experience in these areas. It is a world not of know how but of know who, marinated in campaign contributions. It seems like Bush family and friends are trading on their relationship to the President. The matrix of government contracts and Bush related corporations invites further investigation by the media and Congress - inquiries that are long overdue.

SNIP...

Neil Mallon Bush the younger brother of the President, infamous for his involvement in the Silverado S and L scandal, has been hired by Crest Investment Company as a consultant for $60,000 per year to assist with their efforts to serve as a middleman to advise other companies that seek taxpayer-financed business in Iraq. Working with Crest puts Neil Bush at the center of multiple organizations profiting from the war and occupation in close alliance with long-term Bush Family allies.

Crest Investment is headed by Jamal Daniel who is a principal partner in New Bridge, a Houston, TX based company with offices in Iraq and Kuwait. The main focus of New Bridge is to advise companies that seek opportunities in the private sector in Iraq, including licenses to market products in Iraq. The company highlights that the Coalition Provisional Authority decision to allow foreign companies to establish 100 percent ownership of businesses in Iraq, an unusual arrangement in the Mideast, has added to the attractiveness of the market. The company describes itself by saying:

"New Bridge Strategies, LLC is a unique company that was created specifically with the aim of assisting clients to evaluate and take advantage of business opportunities in the Middle East following the conclusion of the U.S.-led war in Iraq. Its activities will seek to expedite the creation of free and fair markets and new economic growth in Iraq, consistent with the policies of the Bush Administration. The opportunities evolving in Iraq today are of such an unprecedented nature and scope that no other existing firm has the necessary skills and experience to be effective both in Washington, D.C. and on the ground in Iraq." (See: http://www.newbridgestrategies.com/index.asp ) .

New Bridge Strategies , is headed by Joe M. Allbaugh, Mr. Bush's campaign manager in 2000 and the director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency until March 2003. Earlier he was Chief of Staff to then-Governor Bush of Texas Other directors include Edward M. Rogers, Jr. vice chairman, and Lanny Griffith, lobbyists who were assistants to President George Herbert Walker and now have close ties to the White House."

Also related to this Neil Bush network is Diligence LLC ( http://www.diligencellc.com/index.html ). Diligence shares addresses and many Board members with New Bridge Strategies. It was formed by past members of the CIA and Britain's MI5 Intelligence Services along with experts in international law, journalism and intelligence which enables them to review all sorts of future investment projects and provide security advice. Diligence opened an office in Baghdad in July 2003 where they provided payroll protection and delivery, personnel and facilities security, review of potential Iraqi business ventures, training and management of personal security forces, and intelligence briefs. A subsidiary includes Diligence Middle East, LLC which was created in partnership with New Bridge and the Kuwaiti Coroporation, Al-Mal Investment Company.

Whitewashing the Bush boys

By Stephen Pizzo
Mother Jones
March/April 1994 Issue

If Robert Fiske finds that Bill and Hillary have committed crimes in the so-called Whitewater-gate matter, they should pay the price. But according to our Special Prosecute-o-Meter (to come), it would seem that the Clintons' behavior is being measured differently from alleged banking misdeeds by the Bush family--Neil (Silverado Savings), $1 billion; Jeb (Broward Savings), $221.8 million; and George (BNL-Iraqgate), $5 billion. All proved a good deal more costly than the up-to-$50 million involved in the Madison Savings-Whitewater mess.

But while the national media--and specifically the New York Times--has focused its high-caliber lens on the Clintons, they apparently have forgiven and forgotten the Bushes' banking practices.

Consider the remarkably kind November 30 Times front-page profile of Bush boys George Jr. (running for Texas governor) and Jeb (running for Florida governor). The story, by Times veteran Maureen Dowd, was an extraordinary triumph of style over substance.

SNIP...

Republicans are also upset over a Small Business Administration loan of $300,000, taken out by Susan McDougal, that went into Whitewater Development and later into default. Guess they've forgotten that $2.35 million SBA loan Neil received for his new company, Apex Energy, after bugging out of Silverado. (He walked away from this obligation, too.)

12. Here are a couple of links that document the money trail of treason
when treason is defined as giving aid to the enemy-money and money laundering are treason depending on who the "enemy" is.

Some banks were created to handle the cash flow from black budgets, illegal arms trade, drugs, human trafficking, gambling, wetwork, pornography and all the other enterprises found within BFEE.

The Russian Mafia, corrupt KGB and politicians were hooked up into these conduits as freedom fighters. Freedom fighters with names like Chalibi, Khashoggi, the Contras, various mercenaries, RW Cubans, they all did business together, there is a once hidden history unravelling rapidly-and today, as we've been told, "freedom is on the march".

48. Business as usual
Thanks for the important info, bobthedrummer. Much obliged.

Here's a bit more from Conason and Salon.com on the Dubai ports deal. Like BCCI, petrodollars, narcotrafficking and terrorism it's good for BFEE business.

Business as usual

Bush's strong support of the Dubai ports deal isn't so surprising in light of his family's many financial ties to Arab sheikdoms.

By Joe Conason
Salon Feb. 24, 2006

To hear George W. Bush urge calm upon the nation is a refreshing change from his administration's habitual encouragement of fear for political advantage. No more color-coded terror alerts, election-timed warnings or partisan-tinged posturing will emanate from the White House, or at least not until Dubai Ports World has safely completed its takeover of several major American shipping terminals. The president's shift in tone is as remarkable as his threat to use his first veto in five years to protect the Dubai deal in the face of bipartisan congressional opposition.

But Bush's passionate defense of the United Arab Emirates and the ports deal inevitably raises questions -- not only about the due diligence of his administration in this instance but about his and his family's long-standing ties to the Persian Gulf sheikdoms, and specifically to the UAE's rulers. His insinuation that skepticism is equivalent to bigotry cannot deflect such concerns, which first arose in the months after the 9/11 attacks.

SNIP...

Consider the Carlyle Group, the huge, politically wired private equity firm that has employed both the president and his father -- and from which the members of the Bush family and their closest associates, such as former Secretary of State James Baker III, have profited handsomely in recent years. With its sole Middle East office headquartered in Dubai, Carlyle has managed to attract substantial funding from the UAE government, which controls most of the tiny nation's oil wealth and channels that money into foreign investments.

Last year, to cite only the most recent example, Carlyle's newest buyout fund won an infusion of at least $100 million from the Dubai Investment Corp. -- another state-owned outfit created by the ruling families to reinvest the enormous inflows of capital from rising oil prices and oil consumption. If that individual deal with Carlyle represented only a small fraction of the Emirates' investments, the upside potential of the relationship could be far greater in the future. The directors of Dubai Investment expect to invest as much as $5 billion every year for a long time to come.

Thanks for the kick, Rex! Thanks also for giving a damn.

Here's some proof that there are still a few good journalists working...

Influence and bailouts a business tradition in Bush family

By ROBERT TRIGAUX
St. Petersburg Times, published October 29, 2000

Once upon a time, a rich and powerful father gathered his four young sons and urged them to become rich and powerful, too. Take risks. Push yourselves. Influence others, he ordered in a bold voice.

Then he whispered, "And if you muck things up, a fairy godfather will always appear to make things better."

SNIP...

Altogether, the Bush boys' business deals have received scant attention.

What's intriguing is that, time and again, all four brothers have chosen to use a remarkably similar two-step business model.

STEP 1: Leverage the Bush family name and a small personal investment into really big money, always provided by others.

STEP 2: If any deal goes sour, exit early with personal fortune intact. Or rely on a bailout from one of Dad's fairy godfathers: some of the thousands of wealthy Republican fundraisers and longtime supporters of former President Bush.

Bush Family Value$

The Bush clan's family business

by Stephen Pizzo
September/October 1992

http://www.motherjones.com/news_wire/bushboys.html

<snip>

Neil Bush

In the March/April issue of Mother Jones, I detailed Neil Bush's activities and therefore only sketch his involvement here. Neil served as a director of Silverado Banking, Savings and Loan in Denver, Colorado, from 1985 until 1988. During that time, the now-dead thrift made over $200 million in loans to Neil's two partners in JNB Exploration, Neil's abysmally unsuccessful oil company. Silverado's failure was due at least in part to the fact that Neil's two partners welshed on $132 million in loans.

Federal regulators determined that, while Silverado was pumping loans to Neil's two associates, Neil was completely dependent on the two men for his income. The failure of Silverado -- its closure delayed until after the 1988 election -- cost taxpayers about $1 billion. After almost two years of hand-wringing had passed, an expert hired by regulators declared that Neil suffered from an "ethical disability," and he was required to pay a $50,000 fine for his ethical lapses at Silverado. Neil's estimated $250,000 in legal bills generated by the scandal are reportedly being paid for him by a banking-industry lobbyist who is fighting to get banks deregulated. After Silverado failed, Neil started a new oil company, Apex Energy. This time, his money came from a $2.35 million loan through a Small Business Administration program, a loan arranged by an old family friend. When news of this reached the press in March 1991, the SBA discovered that the companies through which the loan was approved were technically insolvent, and it gave them up to thirty months to "self-liquidate." This meant that Apex would have to repay its SBA-guaranteed loans. Neil took this as his cue to move on, and he left Apex -- and its debts -- for others to worry about. If Apex Energy can't be sold for more than it owes, the SBA, and ultimately the taxpayers, will be stuck with the difference. The last time we checked, Apex's only known asset was an oil lease, which the company had purchased from Neil for $150,000 before he bailed out. That means taxpayers could get stiffed for another $2.2 million as a result of Neil Bush's wheeling and dealing. The public won't learn the precise outcome until later this year, though. The SBA allowed thirty months for liquidation of the SBA investment in Apex, putting the resolution date just past the 1992 general election.

President George Bush claims that only a return to traditional family values can cure the "poverty of spirit" that plagues places like our decaying inner cities. But after a closer look, particularly at his adult children, one cannot help but wonder about the values that matter to his own family. Bush says he is proud of his sons. One of them rented himself out to a crooked developer who scammed HUD and helped pry millions out of Medicare to fuel a giant health-care scam. A second may have profited from an insider stock transaction in a gulf oil deal at the very time that U.S. soldiers were dying to make that region safe for oil. And the third son ran a savings and loan into the ground while shoveling millions of its taxpayer-backed dollars into the pockets of two deadbeat partners.

53. Neil Bush’s Investors
From Paul Keil, at TPMmuckracker.com:

Neil Bush’s Investors

By Paul Kiel - March 24, 2006, 6:31 PM

Yesterday, Josh pointed out that the business model for Neil Bush's education company Ignite! seems to be that "Neil goes around the world finding international statesmen, bigwigs and criminals who want to 'invest' in Ignite! as a way to curry favor with the brother in the White House."

But just who are those statesmen, bigwigs and criminals?

The company declines to name private investors, but documents filed with the SEC show that it raised $7.1 million from 53 investors. There are a number of unnamed investors from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the British Virgin Islands.

Here are the ones we do know about. It's quite an international grab bag:

-- Hamza El Khouli, an associate of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and chairman of First Arabian Development and Investment Company (Lawrence Journal World)

-- Les and Anne Csorba, Bush contributors who worked in the first Bush White House in the White House Personnel Office and the Office of Personnel Management (Houston Chronicle).

-- Former Iranian Ambassador Hushang Ansary, a Houston businessman (Houston Chronicle).

-- Sofidiv Inc., a division of the Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton luxury goods company (Houston Chronicle)

-- Mohammed Al Saddah of the Ultra Horizon Co. in Kuwait (Houston Chronicle).

-- Winston Wong (alternately, Winston Wang), a Taiwan businessman who started the Grace Semiconductor Manufacturing Corp. with the eldest son of China's president, Jiang Zemin (Washington Post)

-- Joseph Peacock, company secretary at Crest Investment, where Neil Bush was co-chairman; they specialize in the energy sector. Peacock is also involved with many companies owned by Jamal Daniel - Daniel is a Syrian-American businessman with business ties to the Bush family (St. Petersburg Times)

Results 1 - 10 of about 4,740,000 for neil bush crime.

Dubai Ports Deal and Neal Bush

March 1, 2006 – As Americans debate the merits of the United Arab Emirates – Dubai owned company, DP World taking over the management of six U.S. ports, the real story to be told is not whether the port deal will compromise national security, but rather how the Bush financial dynasty has, is, or will profit from the deal.  The Bush Dy-nasty is the tale of an amassed, decades old family fortune wrought with nasty business dealings at the expense of others, which can be easily traced back to Prescott Bush, and his financial alliance with Germany during World War II.  Prescott Bush was the director and shareholder of the Union Banking Corporation (UBC), which on October 20, 1942, under the Trading With the Enemy Act, had all of its shares seized because it was illegally providing American capital to finance the reorganization of German industry under the Nazi regime.

<snip>

So what has Neil Bush been up to since regretting that his horrendous business skills and criminal banking activities cost the U.S. taxpayer $1.3 billion?  Scheming like only Neil Bush can do, that’s what, but only craftier.  To get inside of the mind of Neil Bush after the Silverado Savings & Loan heist requires an examination of his master plan to capitalize on the Bush name in Kuwait shortly after American troops beat Saddam Hussein and Iraqi troops back into Baghdad.  According to the Seymour Hersh article<4>:

Neil was doing far more than merely trying to help two Houston firms obtain business, according to American and European financial analysts who have been directly involved in studying the energy issue in Kuwait.  These analysts, who have direct knowledge, report that Neil, upon returning to Kuwait in late April, attempted to make a deal involving the highly profitable management aspects of the Ministry of Electricity and Water’s power-plant deals.  The financial analysts said that Neil, operating out of the International Hotel in Kuwait City, was proposing a complicated arrangement that, in the end, would provide for commissions to be paid.  Those who have seen the draft contract said that it called for a new company, owned jointly by the foreign and the local members of the Enron consortium, to be established in Kuwait.  That new company, in turn, would be owned in part by another new company, set up, for tax purposes, in the Caribbean or some other tax haven.  The offshore firm would have various owners, in Europe and elsewhere, one of which would be a company in which Neil Bush had an interest.  The offshore firm would then contract with its owners for various services, and each would receive a percentage of the funds that Enron received.  “So if I were putting the deal together and you asked me if I got a commission, I’d say no,” one financial expert explained.  “Because I don’t have a commission directly on the main job – I have a commission paid by the main foreign contractor.  Basically, Kuwait pays the Kuwait company, which is owned in part by a Caribbean company, a fee to manage, and the Caribbean company then contracts out to its owners for service.  And between those owners there’s a commission paid.

<snip>

Where is Neil Bush right now?  Who did he receive funds from in the last 36 months?  How much money came from the United Arab Emirates?  When was the last time he spoke with the President?  When was the last time he was in the UAE?  When was he last in Dubai?  When was the last time he met with anybody that is even remotely associated with Dubai or DP World?  Is there a kickback scheme that the American people should know about, and does any member of the occupied mainstream media or U.S. Congress have the intestinal fortitude and patriotism to ask, uncover, discover, and disclose to the American people, the absolute truth about the Dubai port deal?  One thing is for certain; we the people will not learn the truth from a talking, burning Bush.

54. Suit claims UAE rulers enslaved boys
Thank you for bringing this up, Jcrowley. History shows the rulers of the UAE have been in business with the Bush Family Evil Empire for a loooong time. Current events, like the excellent article from TPM Muckracker you brought up, indicate just what they are planning for the future.

Here's a bit on who we're talking about, some seriously evil sick turds:

Suit claims UAE rulers enslaved boys

By MATT SEDENSKY, Associated Press Writer
Wed Sep 13, 9:01 PM ET

MIAMI - Rulers of the United Arab Emirates were accused in a lawsuit of enslaving tens of thousands of boys over three decades and forcing them to work as jockeys in the popular sport of camel racing.

The lawsuit was filed last week by unnamed parents of boys suspected of being abducted, sold and enslaved. They claim more than 30,000 boys could have been victimized and seek class-action status.

The lawsuit alleges Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum, the crown prince of Dubai, and Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid al Maktoum, the deputy ruler, were the most active perpetrators.

SNIP...

The lawsuit claims the boys were taken largely from Bangladesh and Pakistan, were held at desert camps in the UAE and other Persian Gulf nations, and forced to work. It claims some boys were sexually abused, given limited food and sleep and injected with hormones to prevent their growth.

58. Easy come, easy come: The good life in a parallel universe.
"The media ought to be ashamed of itself (sic) for what they're doing," George Herbert Walker Bush whined.

"They have a right to make a living, and their relationships are appropriate," added a White House spokeswoman.

Here's more from the great Stephen Pizzo:

Stephen Pizzo: 'Easy come, easy come: The good life in a parallel universe'

Posted on Thursday, July 18 @ 10:02:45 EDT
By Stephen P. Pizzo, The Daily Enron

Polls show a hunger among Americans to believe their President. The recent spate of news stories questioning President Bush's behavior as a private businessman has only lowered his trustworthiness index a few points. People want to believe him. Bush's boyish ways and down-home Texas manner are reassuring at a time when Americans thirst for reassurance.

As for the war against terrorism, the public's trust has so far proven justified. But now we have another war, a domestic war against corporate malfeasance. And the stakes in this war are no less than they are in the war against terrorism. The wave of corporate crime that has swept US financial markets in recent months has cost America more national treasure than any foreign attack or threat of an attack.

In the prosecution of this war, Americans have good reason to distrust their Commander in Chief.

Not because he is dishonest, because I don't believe he is - at least when you understand his frames of reference. Bush comes from a tradition where dealing fast and loose in the boardroom, and greasing the palms of friends and friends of friends, is the norm.

It's kind of a parallel dimension where men like Ken Lay and Jeffery Skilling crisscross our dimension like harvest machines working a field of ripe corn.

When confronted with the damage they do, these folks appear genuinely puzzled - and they really are. They are psychologically incapable of feeling or understanding our outrage at behavior they consider completely normal.

28. More BFEE
Thanks for asking, Sugarcoated. It was my intention to build up understanding as they went along. The subject criminality is so intertwined between various partners in war and crime, reaching from history to current events, however, it may make most sense to learn a chunk at a time. Each thread was started as an anchor with the hope that other DUers would add what they know. Upon reading the things, those new to the subject would have formed a good basic understanding of one aspect of the Bush Transnational Criminal Enterprise. As one goes through the various threads, it is my hope that the big hologram that ties the pieces together will form.

And for all my friends in those hard-to-reach areas:

A Short History of Conspiracy Theory

The story goes farther back than that, though.

Still, here's the end result:

30. Premier League
Now what's interesting for me is that Neal Bush and Berezovsky of all people are considering investing in West Ham.

The English Premier League is a fine conduit for laundering money and buying prestige. This is exactly what another Russian gangster - Abromovich - is doing at Chelsea.

Also interesting is that the otehr characters already associated with this West Ham buy out own Corinthians in Brazil and have been accused corruption and laundering cash for the Russian mob there.

51. Unlike Italian, Irish, Jewish and other mobs
Russian mobsters actually prefer to take a guy's whole family out when they murder someone. So if Neil crosses Boris...a whole season of a real-life 24 could ensue.
