Wild speculation? Or October Surprise? (do they already have Osama?)
http://www.dubyad40.com/2006/09/wild-speculation-or.shtml

Facts:
Earlier this week, Bush announced the transfer of a dozen "high value" prisoners to Gitmo from the secret prisons (that don't exist).

We found out that one of these "high value" prisoners that was allegedly captured last week was actually captured in June and they just told us about him last week.

Suddenly, after ignoring him for 3 years, Bush starts talking about and quoting from bin Laden, and saying what a threat he still is and how we're still going to catch him.

Speculation:
They already have bin Laden, he's one of the 12 they just moved to Gitmo, and they're going to bring him out and parade him around either on Monday 9/11, or just in time for the election.

Then we'll all get to watch little Georgie strut around, try to act like a tough guy, and say "see, we got 'im." Then Rush the junkie, Falafel Bill, Ann the man, Hannity-job, and all the rest will spend the next month wetting themselves with glee and telling us how swell it is that we have such a powerful leader who, with an unlimited budget and the world's most powerful military, only took 5 short years to track down the tallest, most famous, most recognizable Arab in the world (who also happens to be dragging around a dialysis machine - which means he's near electricity, water, etc).

To which I say "Hey George, it's about freaking time."

Granted, I hope that he's caught. I've been hoping that for 5 years. But I will find it utterly reprehensible and unconscionable if they decide to use his (5 year too late) capture for political purposes. I fully expect that they will.

(Of course, this is all just wild speculation. Based on the competence of this administration, they don't have bin Laden, just a dozen more of his "number 2"s. I'm just saying it's possible.)

1. I've been thinking this since he started his "terra tour".

2. Speculation. They don't have shit.
It makes more sense that bush is bringing up osama because of the 5 year anniversary and the fact that most everyone else is talking about osama.

6. I think speculation too, but I wanted it out there anyway, just in case
So we can all say "Yaaaawn. Okay george, nice try. but we're on to your games, punk."

3. I Worry About This, Too
---- I just hope that, if bin Laden WAS captured months ago, and the announcement reserved until the most propitious time with respect to the elections, then that gambit will be seen and derided for what it actually was.

4. Doubtful
Bin Laden has probably been dead for at least 3 years now.

9. I'm with you....
I've believed he's been dead for a long time now. The *administration wants to keep their boogie man alive so they can bring him out of their magician trick bag every time they need to scare the voters.

5. Here's my theory...

"Terrorism" is the only issue for which Bush*'s approval ratings are on the plus side.
(It's also #6 on the list of issues Americans think important to them.)
In order to make the 2006 election (and keep Dems from getting subpoena power) about
terrorism, Bush needs a big October surprise... and I don't think he'd waste Osama
on either Rudy G. or McCain in 2008. Retaining power now is more important.

Therefore, I think Osama is waiting in the wings... on a slab in "an undisclosed
location."

Yes, I have my tin foil Stetson on.

I'll gladly eat crow if I'm wrong.

10. Timing
Holding Osama until the unvieling time would yield maximum political benefit would be seen by anyone capable of speaking as nothing more than a cheap political stunt. If the Osama capture is not revealed to the World the instant it happens, the entire World will label it as just another self serving lie by GWB.

7. I don't think they have Osama because
I think that Cheney, Rove, and Bush conspired with Osama to do 9/11. Cheney had the idea, told Rove to work on it, and Rove had Bush (remember, the Bush family has been friends of the Ben Laden family for a long time) contact Osama. Somewhere, there was probably 'secret' travel by someone of the above and/or a close associate, that worked out the schedule of the whole thing.
IF they DO have Osama, and they report it now, what with all the lies from Bush and co., who will believe it, - they may even have a 'double' to parade around.

12. Cheney and Rumsfeld made deals with Saddam Hussein, too...

...and look where he is, now. It's called outliving your usefulness and, when Osama has outlived his, they'll reel him in.

8. Not necessary. They'll treat us to non-stop trials of these 12.
The networks and MSM will cover this like the OJ Simpson Trial. It'll be a real Moscow Show Trial Spectacular.

Of course, KSM, Ramzi Bin Shibh, and the others deserve a rope, but so do the morons in the White House who went on vacation and let 9/11 happen.

13. Sure would make it easier for them to create the terror tapes when needed
If they had him in the can they could film terror tapes and release them at will.

I believe that the networks already have the next Osama or alQueda tape. They have mentioned that we should expect more tapes in the next few days. How do they know that?
