Illinois has a long proud culture of corruption.
c-span just now, with Editor Cornelia Grumman of the Chicago Tribune
She said some very interesting things, and admitted that the Trib editorial staff is filled with differing opinions. (except when it comes to Bush and IraqNam. Then the owners demand obedience)

Interesting segment. Her big issue is juvenile justice and the problems existing in Illinois' system. (which is about as corrupt as Illinois' political system, with both sides being equally corrupt)
