A vast rightwing conspiracy
When I first heard those words, I attacked the messenger. True, I had little love for Hillary before she spoke, and her approach to health care reinforced my dislike of her. Today, I still do not trust her, nor do I think she would be a viable candidate for president. Frankly, even if she was elected, her lightning rod status would make her presidency a waste of time, leaving the door open to some neocon to return to power.

That said, it sure seems like she spoke the truth. Scaife, Swiftboaters, ABC, NBC, CNN, FOX, MSGOP, the attacks and take over of VOA and NPR, - the examples are truly countless.

It looks as though Hillary was right. Pity she did not support her statement with more facts. And it is even more a pity that the media did not bother to investigate her statement. ON second thought, why would the very media being pulled to the right by the conspirators bother to bite the hands the bribe them?

2. Hey 'antifaschits' Go Back And Read What You Just Wrote And....
cut Hillary a break. Why do you not trust her. You just acknowledged she was right and that all the attacks on the Clinton presidency then were (I will use my term) choreographed.

If people like yourself are beginning to notice that now and acknowledge that now - why would she be a lightening rod and her presidency be a waste of time? The RW has been exposed. She was right there was a 'vast RW conspiracy' and it has continued on throughout *'s presidency - only in reverse to help *.

We all know that now and don't like it. We're on to them.

You say it's a pity she did not support her statement with more facts. I say if she did then - who would have listened and believed her.

Yes - the media - in my mind is the biggest culprit. They bought the whole RW story and went with it to all our detriment. This fictious ABC 9/11 docudrama is case in point. They are still doing it - Anything But Clinton - is still going on.

Also you may want to go back and re-evaluate Hillary's approach to heatlh care and compare it to *'s approach since. Our healthcare system is in a shambles - worse ever. At least Hillary attempted to do something.

Don't buy into this continuing 'vast RW conspiracy' - your still being sucked down that same rabbit hole.

4. I've tried, honestly, I've tried.
I have three things about her that I do not like
a) The secrecy surrounding the healthcare project was wrong, counterproductive and wasted millions of dollars and thousands of well-intended man-hours. Even worse, it set back the cause of national health care by more than a decade. Perhaps longer. There were millions of people ready to support a decent plan and a realistic, open, and honest debate and program. She squandered that horribly. I knew two people who worked on that project. Autocratic decision making was the rule, not the exception.

b) her decision to run as senator in a foreign state struck me as a decision by self-proclaimed royalty - an almost Bush-like decision of entitlement. It surprised me even more that she was actually elected and that the so-called rabid NY press was reduced to a syncophatic group of Hillary stenographers. My guess is that they were practicing for their future behavior with respect to the Bush White House.

c) Her performance as US Senator reminds me of Barack Obama from my state. More form than substance; tastes great, less filling; and absolutely not one hard decision or policy stance if she could avoid it. Either a senator is brave and independent, or (like much of the GOP and unfortunately, many of our dems) a senator is a yellow-bellied spineless rubber stamp. Hillary has not taken one position that was not choreographed. Her anti- Rummie performance was so transparently concocted (and wanna bet that RUmmie knew what was coming in advance?) Name one distinct position she has taken on a new path, on an issue that had not been already deemed appropriate and uncontraversial.

I do not trust her. I do not like her. On her own merits, not because of Scaife or others. ON the other hand, she does hold some positions that I think are important. We do need a health care overhaul. WE do need to get rid of rummie. And there is a vast right wing conspiracy. And we do NOT need her to run for president.

5. Because someone is correct in saying they are unjustly attacked
doesn't mean you have to agree with their political positions.

3. Yes, she was right at the time and it still holds

but I think now, we're really in a danger zone where we can't assume things will work themselves out anymore.
