w & laura to have moment of silence in "the Pit" on Monday.
http://www.nydailynews.com/front/story/450618p-379150c.html

The President and First Lady Laura Bush will arrive in New York on Sunday to pay tribute to the victims of 9/11. At Ground Zero, the President will descend into The Pit to lay separate wreaths at the sites where the twin towers once stood.

Afterward, the President and the First Lady will participate in a prayer service at St. Paul's Chapel and will remain overnight in the city.

After the breakfast Monday at the firehouse, the first couple will participate in a moment of silence at 8:46 a.m. to mark when the first plane hit the north tower. It will be followed by a ceremony commemorating the fifth anniversary of the attacks.

The Bushes will then head for Shanksville, Pa., where a passenger revolt forced hijacked United Airlines Flight 93 to crash in a field before it could hit a target in Washington. They will conclude their day at a ceremony at the Pentagon.
------------
Nice exploitation of the dead there karl, without taking any of the blame of course.

1. The BUSH CREW FUCKED IT ALL UP by not listening to the Warnings
As it turns out, and this is old but needs reminding, They all had the warning but ignored it ...intentional or not, they let it slide.

Annnd, let us remember these dudes are very clever and devious...almost Satanic....

Allow an attack, then exploit the hell out of the dead, while killing multiple thousands more. the word satanic is apt.

5. they're still deciding on the gleaming towering replacements
I see it as oddly American that they want to make two more huge towers and defiantly spend trillions doing it. I wish they'd just put some sensible buildings there, because someday when the truth about all this comes out, it will be seen as unseemly.

13. As long as my TV tower is restored, I don't care what they build.
The twin towers were an eyesore that shut out the sun for much of downtown Manhattan. It's eerie how sunny it is here these days. I wanted those buildings torn down from the day they went up. I would, however, have evacuated first.

And when I finally saw where Borders books had relocated, I started crying in the middle of crossing the street. It was my favorite place at the WTC.

to ask the obvious questions: Why hasn't Bin Laden been apprehended or offed five years after the attacks, and why the need to respect Pakistani sovereignty when it obviously does not exist in the provinces bordering Afghanistan?

10. bush KNEW
(CBS) President Bush was told in the months before the Sept. 11 attacks that Osama bin Laden's terrorist network might hijack U.S. passenger planes - information which prompted the administration to issue an alert to federal agencies - but not the American public.

CBS News National Security Correspondent David Martin says the warning was in a document called the President's Daily Brief, which is considered to be the single most important document that the U.S. intelligence community turns out. The document did not, however, mention the possibility of planes being flown into buildings.

White House spokesman Ari Fleischer said that while President Bush was told last summer that bin Laden's al Qaeda network might hijack planes, "until the attack took place, I think it's fair to say that no one envisioned that as a possibility."

However, a federal report issued exactly two years before the Sept. 11 attacks contrasts with that statement.

18. That's a 'heck of a schedule'.
They're really going to need some time to relax afterward. Maybe a little reminiscing before sleep -

>>Peggy Noonan (the interviewer): You were separated on September 11th. What was it like when you saw each other again?

Laura Bush: Well, we just hugged. I think there was a certain amount of security in being with each other than being apart.

George W. Bush: But the day ended on a relatively humorous note. The agents said, "you'll be sleeping downstairs. Washington's still a dangerous place." And I said no, I can't sleep down there, the bed didn't look comfortable. I was really tired, Laura was tired, we like our own bed. We like our own routine. You know, kind of a nester. I knew I had to deal with the issue the next day and provide strength and comfort to the country, and so I needed rest in order to be mentally prepared. So I told the agent we're going upstairs, and he reluctantly said okay. Laura wears contacts, and she was sound asleep. Barney was there. And the agent comes running up and says, "We're under attack. We need you downstairs," and so there we go. I'm in my running shorts and my T-shirt, and I'm barefooted. Got the dog in one hand, Laura had a cat, I'm holding Laura --

Laura Bush: I don't have my contacts in , and I'm in my fuzzy house slippers --

George W. Bush: And this guy's out of breath, and we're heading straight down to the basement because there's an incoming unidentified airplane, which is coming toward the White House. Then the guy says it's a friendly airplane. And we hustle all the way back up stairs and go to bed.

Mrs. Bush: And we just lay there thinking about the way we must have looked.

Peggy Noonan (interviewer): So the day starts in tragedy and ends in Marx Brothers.

George W. Bush: THAT'S RIGHT-- WE GOT A LAUGH OUT OF IT!<<

broadly, all literally on the ashes of his victims.
