How many unabashedly Democratic leaning TV personalities are there?
Even though the RWer's have O'Reilly, Hannity, Cavuto, Tucker, Scarborough, Hume, Beck, Gibson, etc. on TV daily they constantly cry about the liberal media. When pressed to name specific individuals they always have trouble naming more than two or three. Even when I try to name some all I can come up with is KO, Stewart, and Colbert.

Who are all the pro-Democratic TV personalities the RWer's are bitching about?

1. While the RWers bitch about KO...
...I would not classify him as a liberal-leaning pundit...more like the last person in the television media who deserves to be called an objective journalist.

6. Most of those we claim as "ours' are actually independent .
Ko is and Ron Reagan. I would also suspect Cafferty.Andy rooney may actually be Dem.Rather admitted to being liberal.

7. Ahh, but you see, Bill Maher is not left wing
Bill Maher is a comedian. He doesn't give a shit about anything but laughs.

The only reason he trashes Bush and Republicans so much is because Bush and the Rethugs are in power, and because he hates fundies of any kind.

But he trashed Clinton and Dems just as bad in the 1990s, and I didn't really mind it.

14. He is.
He has stated he's an Independent because he doesn't trust either party.

to which I respond, "Name ten".

I can rattle off ten RW media figures, on the spot, at any given time.

9. I'd add Bill Moyers, but he's more like the voice of Reason.
Unfortunately, he's not as visible as he once was.

11. Most are Green or Libertarian anyway
I actually don't see Colbert or Stewart as Dems, they lean further left like Ron Reagan does. Then there's Molly Ivins, who used to get some air time before her cancer came back, but she always said she was more Libertarian - same as Bill Maher. So for pure straight-up Dem, there aren't any.

12. All the Media is Liberal
That's what they'll say. We're looking at it objectively. Most of the people we mentioned are pretty mild in their "liberalism." I've heard repugs claim that Fox News is too liberal.

13. The media does not appear liberal, but LIBERTARIAN
Edited on Fri Sep-08-06 12:06 AM by liberaldemocrat7
We have a libertarian media. Social liberal but fiscally conservative. Sort of one who does not want to put their money into their social liberalism.

If we really had a liberal media 6 million people would not slave at $5.15 an hour for 10 years and medicare part D would not exist but rather a simple prescription drug benefit would have gotten inserted into Medicare Part B covering 80 percent of medications.

A liberal media would focus on more social justice issues. The Libertarian media hobnobs with the power people in washington. People like Judy Woodruff who calls Democrats weak on national security and defense despite the reality that the 9-11 deaths happened under a REPUBLICAN administration.
