ABC alters 9/11 show under pressure
The network has in recent days made changes to the film, set to air Sunday and Monday, after leading political figures, many of them Democrats, complained about bias and alleged inaccuracies.
Meanwhile, a left-wing organization has launched a letter-writing campaign urging the network to "correct" or dump the miniseries, while conservative blogs have launched a vigorous defense.

After much discussion, ABC executives and the producers toned down, but did not eliminate entirely, a scene that involved Clinton's national security advisor, Samuel R. "Sandy" Berger, declining to give the order to kill Bin Laden, according to a person involved with the film who declined to be identified because of the sensitivities involved.

"That sequence has been the focus of attention," the source said, adding: "These are very slight alterations."

1. I guess now there will now be a very slight boycott
I for one don't think it's quite time for us to tone it down yet...

2. Mmm hmm ...
"These are very slight alterations."

That's the problem: "SLIGHT alterations to the film. MAJOR alterations to the truth."

4. Conservatives launch a vigorous defense of LIES
Free republic motherfuckers who have no concept of right or wrong and are living with Clinton Penis envy are so fucking proud they cannot admit they have been wrong about bush all along and are so fucking cowardly they won't accept a ride to the Army recruiting station and yet they continue to enjoy constitutional liberties and enjoying their weekends while our kids continue to die because they continue to enable bush to be a monster.

How's that for one long winded sentence?

It must suck worse then being a splashboard in an adult bookstore to be a "conservative" in America today. Free republic members are living proof that ignorance is rewarded.

11. hee hee hee ... I googled
my screen name a couple of days ago ... one right-wing asshole site was all sarcastic about my post on 8/28 or so, saying that I had e-mailed ABC and told them that they would be served notice ... the assholes were all sarcastic saying "ooo, zbdent is serving them notice! I'm scared!" (Didn't even have to go on their site to see it was full of people who give retards a bad name ...)

I guess that I can laugh about them now, eh?

12. All Hat No Cattle...
Let me make a prediction that this crapumentary will be a ratings disaster for ABC. The way this is being handled indicates it. The only people who will sit through this crap...two nights worth with NO commercials...are the rabid kool-aid drinkers. Anyone with a real life will have far better things to do than spend 4 hours riveted to a TV screen to see what appears to be a rank production by a shitty script writer. This isn't a major production that will be shown on 400 screens all over the country...it won't be nominated for any awards...it won't have any appeal outside the U.S. (like Farenheit 911 did) thus it'll be a lot of money wasted with little possibility of any future profits. Its shelf life won't even make it to the DVD cut out racks.

Remember...Sunday night starts the new football season on NBC and Monday is football on ESPN (also owned by Disney)...you tell me where the majority of the male viewers will be.

All the noise we're making right now is just PR for Disney and, sorry, I'm not gonna play their game. I will not watch this tripe and am certain that if there's anything outrageous or obnoxious YouTube will have what I need to see. Disney has long been on my boycott list for various reasons. I rarely watch their TV stations or listen to their radio stations (except KGO in SF) and have cancelled vacations to both Disneyland and Disneyworld due to their own corporate arrogance.

A week from now, more Americans will have died in Iraq, more people will have lost their jobs or health care...and the last person they'll be blaming it on is Bill Clinton. Our job is to keep reminding them who is the FIRST person responsible.
