I long for V
I yearn for some brave soul to take over the airwaves and tell Americans the TRUTH.

I know it won't happen--but just thinking about it is enough to reduce the disdain and contempt I have for what is happening to America.

BushCo is a runaway train at this point. Whether it's the 9/11 docudrama, the next election or contrived terrorist attack or threat, they pretty much OWN the outcomes.

1. I'll tell you what though -
we may not have a moment like that suitable for a movie, but we may have small V moments. It seems to me it's starting to happen. Keith Olbermann's comments on Rumsfeld and then Bush gave me goosebumps.

2. Yeah, which is what I don't like about V...
...the guy was a superhero, he was too good. But in real history, its always imperfect people like you or I who really bring justice and truth when its needed.

3. I found it notable the US in V's world utterly imploded and was ruined
Lewis Prothero: So I read that the former United States is so desperate for medical supplies that they have allegedly sent several containers filled with wheat and tobacco. A gesture, they said, of good will. You wanna know what I think? Well, you're listening to my show, so I will assume you do... I think it's high time we let the colonies know what we really think of them. I think its payback time for a little tea party they through for us a few hundred years ago. I say we go down to those docks tonight and dump that crap where everything from the Ulcered Sphincter of Ass-erica belongs! Who's with me? Who's bloody with me?
(audience applauds)
Lewis Prothero: Did you like that? USA... Ulcered Sphincter of Ass-erica, I mean what else can you say? Here was a country that had everything, absolutely everything. And now, 20 years later, is what? The world's biggest leper colony. Why? Godlessness. Let me say that again... Godlessness. It wasn't the war they started. It wasn't the plague they created. It was Judgement. No one escapes their past. No one escapes Judgement. You think he's not up there? You think he's not watching over this country? How else can you explain it? He tested us, but we came through. We did what we had to do. Islington. Enfield. I was there, I saw it all. Immigrants, Muslims, homosexuals, terrorists. Disease-ridden degenerates. They had to go. Strength through unity. Unity through faith. I'm a God-fearing Englishman and I'm goddamn proud of it!

5. It's Because of Idiots Like This One
Edited on Thu Sep-07-06 08:06 PM by Anakin Skywalker
that Emperor Shrub is still ruling.

From one of CNN's article posted JUST TODAY!

Still, some Southern women remain stalwart supporters of the president and the Republican Party. At a watermelon festival in Chickamauga, in the mountains of northwest Georgia, substitute teacher Clydeen Tomanio said she remains committed to the party she's called home for 43 years.

"There are some people, and I'm one of them, that believe George Bush was placed where he is by the Lord," Tomanio said. "I don't care how he governs, I will support him. I'm a Republican through and through."

8. Uh, her name is "Clydeen"?
OK, something tells me parents that would name their daughter Clydeen are probably brother and sister.

Explains why she'd vote for Shrub. She's an inbred redneck with the IQ of a grapefruit. Or, as I call them, your average Republican voter.

maybe Clydeen will invite some of us over for Possum on Thanksgiving? :crazy:

7. Well, what's stopping YOU from being V?
You have a voice. You can write a short, simple thing like this, and leave copies everywhere you go:

================
ABC Lied.
Clinton fought terrorism.
Bush killed anti-terror programs.
This time, impeach the real crook.
=================

Or maybe this:

----------------
Bush killed 3000 Americans
in his War for Oil and Power.
More than the 9/11 victims.
Had Enough?
================

You don't need explosives or a mask or Alan Moore's impressive words. Why not do what you can?
