Why do we hold author Richard Frey to a higher standard than Bush?
Frey is forced to publicly recant and his publisher admits fraud, but Bushco continues to obfuscate and confabulate...

Strange society that we live in -- Janet Jackson is pilloried for flash her tit, but Bush is re-elected despite crimes against the world.

2. Because to blame Bush means the terrorists win!
(According to Karl Rove, who appears to be VERY busy lately).

3. You are apparently confused, I think I can help
We are in the midst of a War on Terra (terra firma or earth). We are hell-bent on destroying on that is good and beautiful, or even simplistically entertaining for that matter.

Breasts are lovely, therefore they must be made illegal and never shown in public or private (even if they're on the statute of Justice in the Department of Justice). Exaggeration in a personal biography of no political import is entertaining, therefore must be made illegal or at least exceeding amoral and the purveyor of such shall be flogged to an early death if possible.

Blowing up people in foreign countries OTOH is ugly and horrific, therefore we will do much more of that. Torture is evil and heinous, so we will definitely be doing that. Letting people drown in cities we decided not to keep up on the infrastructure with is also good. You see, we are bringing on Armageddon. Eventually there will be so much evil and ugly that God himself will crack the sky open reach down and sweep us all away into oblivion.

War Is Peace... eventually, the peace of the grave.

4. Do you mean James Frey?
Edited on Thu Sep-07-06 07:59 PM by jane_pippin
Of "A Million Little Pieces" infamy, or is this someone else now? (I've been out of the loop news-wise recently so option 2 is totally possible as far as I know. And if it is option two, kindly fill me in.)

6. You guys should have seen Olbermann.
He called Frey's book a "lie-ography" and said Frey is currently working on the script to a new docudrama, "9/11: Why Didn't FDR Stop This Thing?"
