Given the fiction ABC is selling, perhaps the release of this amazing film will not now go unnoticed.

Disclaimer: I have a conflict of interest as I was one of the writers of the film.

That said, when I saw it done and finished, I was moved to tears because of the heroism of the family members. The film opens to the public next week and will be available at various book stores and media stores. You can get more information on it here:

Paul Thompson's timeline helped provide a road map and he is a DUer

and I am a DUer, so you have two reasons to see the film at least.

Please boycott ABC by instead watching this brave film, which was a work of courage by the filmmakers.

I think that it is important that we not only say to boycott the ABC/Disney flick, and to have the corporate media push the 9/11 Commission's Report as the "truth." We need to promote other quality resources. I agree with the OP. I also will suggest that people get out their Michael Moore "F 9/11" DVDs.

Tower records and I think (but not sure) blockbuster. It is not loose change, so I don't want people to be disappointed. It does not have a theory. The film is about the fight of the families to have a commission put together, but I must say, that the footage we got is damning. In fact, some of the footage was stolen with a computer from the producers car, even though all the equipment was there, just the dvd with the laptop. But also, when Paul's book comes back out in a special release, we will rerelease this film with the extras and the extras have an all star commentary cast you will love: Palast, Helen, Cronkite, Isikoff, and everyone else ever to write anything about the war on terror. It was shot over a period of several years. I wrote some of the screenplay as I have said, but I have no points in this film nor was I paid for my services. I did it for free and my promotion of it is also for free.

In fact, they will be lucky if the break even and "they" are mostly folks who put in 500 bucks here or 200 bucks there and over the course of several years the movie was made with the help of many who, like me, took no pay. So, let's pay the investors back and maybe even make something for Paul to keep working and the others to keep making powerful pieces such as this.

If you don't get it and cannot afford it, let me know. I will do my best to send what I can. Also, if you are in DC, or any of you are in DC, let me know, and I will see how many tickets I can still get to leave for you for the press viewing. I cannot promise anything and it will be first ask first get type of thing, but PM me and let me know who you are and where you are in DC. I will then ask for whatever tickets are still left and give them out to DU folks:) And plus, we can meet finally, face to face, and in living color.

lots of stuff I'd never seen before! This was a great job....no wild conspiracy theories were spun, but the evidence is quite damning and revealing. I don't want to spoil anything, but the focus on Pakistan is quite timely.

51. we have been talking for the last few days

wondering if someone had not given these guys an advance DVD because the inversion of the Tora Bora scene, which i think is the most damning actual news/reporting in the documentary, and that the ABC film actually moves that same scene to Clinton era, and changes the locations a bit, is really coincidental. because this was not being promoted... it was being quietly worked on, which is why most people had not heard of it... but there are several executive producers, including a Lucus pictures guy (on his own, not for Lucus) and Rory O'Connor, who recently did an interview with Judith Miller where she said she had leads about a coming attack over the summer... my paranoia got the better of me because i started thinking, did he mention the film? did she get a rough cut? honestly, i have no clue and he is nothing if not professional, but still, you start looking at every possible reason to explain this bizarre series of events... anyway, ABC and its board, clearly did not know (I think, because this makes them cheap, and no longer credible) what was being delivered until the crazy stuff happened... i think they were blindsided on this... and really, why ABC and not Fox? and the Bush speech to be inserted all of a sudden during the film.... a pr stunt the whole thing is? crazy stuff

and the final cut, and at every point after when we were showing it privately... i cried every single time when Bob started crying at the very end. the footage was fantastic, was it not? some of that i had never seen to begin with... but i think the most damning is Pakistan's little night party over at Tora Bora.

Is that the show Paul will be at? I have been trying to get my sis and her husband to go see this on the 10th in DC. They are not journalists but he is very well connected in Washington. He is Republican and the founder of a conservative Washington think tank. She is a Democrat. They are open to going to see it. I have spoken to them alot about Paul's timeline and the still unanswered questions of 9/11. I think if I offered them tickets they would probably go.
