I told them I originally had gotten Sirius to hear Mike Malloy and then Air America went to XM. I told them now that Mike has left Air America it would be great to have him back home on Sirius.

18. Just like cell phones, there are freebies and good deals.
Edited on Thu Sep-07-06 03:02 PM by longship
I picked up a very expensive XM2go (Retail ~$300, street price ~$200) for $150 which included free activation and three months service. I could have gotten a much less expensive receiver for basically free.

BTW, the XM2go is like a portable radio which can receive XM just about anywhere. It's rechargeable; it comes with both car and home connection equipment (and antennas); it can automatically record any channel any time for playback later; and is small enough to take with you anywhere. But it's pretty costly.

Just like cell phones, there are all sorts of deals available just about any time.

On edit: Google "XM Radio coupon" or "Sirius Radio coupon"

This seems to be a thing to be shopped around for. I know we got local vendors too...

If he lands on sat. I gotta do what I gotta do.

23. Local vendors won't have the coupon codes.
I had to order my XM2go online. I received it the very next business day and I was up and running an hour after I called for activation.

Use the "Coupon Codes" available many places on line.

28. That's what I have, Longship, and I love it.
My antenna went bad after a year (I'm sure my precious nine-year-old had nothing to do with it). I went and got a brand new one at Fry's, and everything works superbly now.

30. I got mine for free!
It's a bit complicated ( I had to set up a ghost email acct.); but it was worth it and I only pay $12 a month for acess. My DJ husband loves it!

... if they added Malloy. Perhaps enough of us did so earlier that it prompted this meeting! Keeping my fingers crossed. Still haven't taken my old Sirius enabled radio out of my car just yet. Will hang on for just a little longer.

I also sent a link for a new proposed channel lineup. Can only dream that they'd put something like this in place...

25. Done!
I have 3 Sirius receivers and I definitely let them know. Mike would be a tremendous asset to Sirius Left. Also mentioned that I know tons of folks who would subscribe to Sirius if Malloy was in the lineup.

Imagine- Malloy uncensored!

27. I just emailed them
I got Sirius for Air America, but kept subscribing for the Broadway channel - it would be great if they'd add mike, because I have sirius both inside and in the car, so I could listen to him more often (I wasn't often in the car when Mike Malloy was on (where my xm was) and didn't get to hear him as much as I'd like.

29. This is great news! I hope he and Kathy can swing
a four hour program. I know that's alot, but maybe with frequent guests it won't seem so long. This is a great reason for me to get Sirius!

I had a dream last night that they'd already been busy negotiating. It took a few weeks, but they were back on the air! I hope my dream comes true for all of us!
