5. I was watching CSPAN at the time and made a joke to my husband

something like "here comes a macaca amendment," then felt bad because I agreed with the amendment. Not surprising when Senator Durbin hopped up and immediately confronted Allen about the word-for-word rendition of his own proposed amendment. Durbin was very gracious, under the circumstances, by allowing it to go forward as a bipartisan effort. Allen is scum.
