This is why I no longer go to church. I have visited these types of church and quite frankly they scared me. I have experienced what it was like to be close minded when I went through my Islam phase, which is a whole 'nother story.
It is scary to see that there are people like this in this country and the looks on some of those kids faces... I can't even go there.
I remember being a sheep and following the rest of the flock to the front of the auditorium. A "counselor" laid hands upon me and asked if I wanted to be saved. I raised my head, looked him scare in the eye and simply said "no". I will never forget that. I was raised in a pentecostal church (AG) and attended 4 camps in my youth - 2 in Montana and 2 in Indiana. It is frightening stuff. Can not wait to see this movie.
I was both mortified and saddened. I wondered how many of those kids were living in abusive, authoritarian households. I suspect the percentage to be quite high.
