Glorifying Nazism!
Our crazed president is now the most Nazi glorifier in the history of American presidency, and on his last major speech on last Tuesday, he declared;

"In the 1920’s a failed Austrian painter published a book in which he explained his intention to build an Aryan super-state in Germany and take revenge on Europe and eradicate the Jews," President Bush said today, "the world ignored Hitler’s words, and paid a terrible price."

Do any of you find such statement troubling? and where are those that say glorification of Nazism is anti-Semitism?

2. Yes, look at the statement without the narrative style...
...In the 1920’s a failed Austrian painter published a book in which he explained his intention to build an Aryan super-state in Germany and take revenge on Europe and eradicate the Jews. The world ignored Hitler’s words, and paid a terrible price.

Now that sounds like shrub* agrees with the failed Austrian painter's intention to build an Aryan super-state in Germany and take revenge on Europe and eradicate the Jews.

By inference, Dubya seems to be suggesting that he can right the world's mistake by now building an Aryan super-state in America and take revenge on the world and also eradicate the Jews.

That is troubling.

4. I Would Not Agree That Glorification of Nazism is Anti-Semitism
Simply because the nazi ideology embraced so much more than its antisemitism. You could hate it for what it did to unfortunates of all sorts, you could hate them for what they did to the Gypsy's, you could hate them for the bombing of London, you could hate them for lots of things outside of what they did to the jewish people of europe and without reference to it.

5. Nah, it just shows that the speachwriter is stupid
He was trying to do the "Dems are appeasers" BS and whoever wrote the speech wrote that line stupidly.

6. Well, that sentence doesn't glorify Nazism.
So I'd say it's your reading comprehension skills that are probably at fault.

Although it's still pretty reprehensible, since I suspect Bush is trying to draw a parallel between Hitler and the leader of Iran or someone else as a justification for war--which really doesn't work; in the 1930's Germany led every country but the US in manufacturing, and they were years ahead of almost everyone in technology and tactics; the threat from a relatively poor and ill-equipped country like Iran, or a group of terrorists, is not remotely comparable.

10. This is not "glorification" of Nazism.
It may be a violation of "Godwin's Law," but does not glorify Nazism. How, and more importantly, why have you reached this conclusion?

11. It reminds me of when Bush went to Auschwitz
and asked his guide,"Do people challenge the accuracy of what you present?".
