STFU is official administration policy now
This may be a subtle point, but it's an important one.

Rummy came out last week with an address to the public at 2 different times, stating that people who question what we are doing in the "war on terror" are nothing short of Nazi appeasers. We all heard this. We all know what it means. But here's the thing: governments frequently will float an idea using a staffmember farther down the totem pole than the leader, just to see how it flies. Rummy saying what he said gives Bush plausible deniability - if it looks like it will blow up in their face, they can say publicly that it was Rummy speaking out of turn, for example. Or, they could just ignore it too, perhaps. Rummy is not in charge of the government - he only speakd for a part of it.

Bush is the titular head of this government. What he says is policy for the administration. He said the same thing.

Rummy calling us all appeasers could possibly be dismissed, because he's not Big Chief. Bush is. Therefore, what Bush said loud and clear is that it is his policy that we all need to STFU.

Rummy calling us appeasers is vile, certainly. It is way out of line. Bush saying the same thing is a non-arguable signal that the first amendment gets no respect with these people.

1. Bush says we are brainwashed by Al Qaeda
In Bush's speech yesterday, he said bin Laden was engaged in a propaganda campaign to drive a wedge between the American people and their government. This is essentially saying that people who oppose what he does only do so because we have fallen for bin Laden's propaganda. He basically smeared me in front of an audience and on national television without giving me a chance to rebut. I'd like to see him say that kind of stuff to my face. President Bush is a coward. He ridicules his detractors to private audiences that support him 100 percent, but he won't face his detractors and say what he has to say about them to their face. He talks about two-thirds of America behind their back. He is a snake. He is an enemy. President Bush is at war with the American people, and it is time for the American people to respond to the threat he poses.

2. Exactly
And because it is BUSH, not another member of the government, what he said is policy. Anyone else can say something in this administration, and it can be denied. If Bush says it, it is official.

Do you think cafepress.com can do a decent job or do you suggest another company?

9. No . . . it's STFU you Nazi appeasers.
How dim are the 'pukes? They're calling more than half the population names, but they want our votes. Time for another half glass of wine, Georgie.
