7. Once upon a time, the President only needed ONE US flag

and ONE flag with the presidential seal.

When addresses to the nation were made, they were done from the OVAL OFFICE. Sitting behind a desk, as in, WORKING...

WITHOUT an "audience" of partisan fuckers to "applaud" ever other line.

They started out with something like "My fellow Americans" and said what needed to be said. They concluded with "Thank you and good night." They were short and sweet, and uncomplicated and unambiguous.

Then, the station would RESUME regular programming, not parse every fucking word the guy said. With any luck, you'd only miss the first five minutes of BEWITCHED, or what have you.

I long for those days. I am tired of a dozen or ten flags to symbolize patriotism, a bunch of polished kids forced to HOLD them in a faux indoor honor guard that is offensively unnecessary, and all of the sick pomp that this cowboy booted clown thinks is so important.

Let's find a president who will get down to BUSINESS, and stop with the bullshit trappings.
