Bush Plan Would Withhold Terror Evidence
Bush Plan Would Withhold Terror Evidence
Sep 6, 12:29 PM (ET)
By NEDRA PICKLER

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Bush pushed a hard line Wednesday on trying terror suspects through military tribunals, exhorting Congress to allow evidence to be withheld from a defendant if necessary to protect classified information.

"One of the most important tasks is for Congress to recognize that we need the tools necessary to win this war on terror and we'll continue to discuss with Congress ways to make sure that this nation is capable of defending herself," Bush said after a Cabinet meeting.

Senate leaders were briefed on the legislative plan Tuesday night. It already has met resistance from lawmakers who say it would set a dangerous precedent.

Sen. John Warner, chairman of the Armed Services Committee, and Sens. John McCain and Lindsey Graham have drafted a rival proposal. It would guarantee certain legal rights to defendants, including access to all evidence used against them.

2. The situation in this country is getting crazier and crazier and
more dangerous by the day.

Does anyone here seriously believe that they won't arrest US citizens who protest their actions and use this legislation.

Fuck the House and the Senate if they let these crooked lying bloody bastards do this to OUR country.

3. This incompetent fuck has tried to change every single rule of
law, national and international in order for him to be able to gat the evildoers and still FUCKS IT UP!
His justice department had a confessed terrorist in custody and almost had the CONFESSED criminal freed because of Prosecutorial misconduct!

Jesus Christ, these incompetent fucks could have al qaeda in America and all their franchises surrender, bring in all the evidence against themselves and hand it to the Bush Administration and Alberto Gonzalez would blow the prosecution.

I have not seen such an incompetent president in my whole life...My first president? Eisenhower..
Worst President in American history? G. W. Bush hands-down, no contest.
