And all the comments are totally negative about the docudrama.

:woohoo:

1. I've added my 2 cents......
for what it's worth. I will not watch this POS "docudrama" and ABC and all affiliate stations have been blocked on my TV. I hope that makes their sponsors happy! Of course their Corporate sponsors have much to be gained by this revisionist fairy tale so I wouldn't expect them to care much at all. The better the Bushies look the longer Republicans will stay in control of our government and that means more huge tax cuts for the wealthy and more Corporate welfare. Hell, ABC would probably run this POS commercial free if the had to. Gotta' keep those Corporate tax cuts coming, dontcha know? ;)

3. If ABC is running this "commercial free" then . . .
who's paying for the air time? Don't tell me ABC is doing this out of the goodness of their heart - their shareholders might want to know.

14. The BBC is showing this....
... on sunday and monday, which is unusual as we don't tend to get U.S. programming until after it is shown in the states.

You may find that this has been distributed to other foreign networks, thus getting rid of the need for sponsors on ABC.

4. Let's see what "the author has approved"
Which is all that will appear online.

Here's my post

---
You can either have "dramatized" or you can have reality.

One side of your face (here) claims "dramatized." The other side produces "teaching aids" to influence our children.

Sorry, one side of your face is lying. (Probably to yourselves as well. More's the pity.)

I will do what I can to stop your "teaching," ignore your "drama," and boycott your sponsors.

Then let's talk, ok?
-------

Think I'll get "approved."

10. ABC Loves The Buzz
The old chestnut is "Say Good, Say Bad...Just Say". That appears to be how ABC is playing this scam...hoping to piss both sides off and get the maximum buzz. The wingnuts are screaming how great this thing is and any attempts to censor or pull it off will be viewed as some "librul conspiracy"...great red meat. The left is all aghast due to the obvious phony premise that has already been debunked, but just the furor is making this thing get far more attention than the Zigfried & Roy bio pic. The hope is people will be so "buzzed" that they're gonna watch...either to "support" it or to beat it to death...either way, ABC appears to think this is gonna draw ratings. We shall see...

16. The thing is, though
Why draw ratings when there's no advertising? I saw somewhere that Nielsen's not even going to monitor viewership of the thing.

It's a fucking infomercial for the reality-challenged community. I think tracking down the funding for this thing will blow it wide open.

36. Ratings Mean Money...Why Worry About Ratings When You Have Money
My bets are there are some corprate sponsors who signed on to this fiasco...probably right wing or Repugnican contributors...who bought up the commercial slots months in advance and couldn't care less about ratings.

Yep...it'd be interesting to see who advertises on this sham and then follow the money. Surely these advertisers...or their agencies...should be well aware now of the controversy this show is generating and their continued sponsorship says something about their own agendas.

27. Ptech and the wargames of 9-11...something ABC won't touch
Edited on Wed Sep-06-06 02:44 PM by EVDebs
with a ten foot pole. Ptech STILL has WhiteHouse and DoD access according to Rachel Ehrenfeld's article Dollars of Terror

"Ptech is used primarily to develop enterprise blueprints at the highest level of US government and corporate infrastructure. These blueprints hold every important functional, operational, and technical detail of the enterprise. A secondary use of this powerful tool is to build other smart tools in a short period of time. Ptech’s clients in 2001 included the Department of Justice, the Department of Energy, Customs, Air Force, the White House, the FAA, IBM, Sysco, Aetna, and Motorola, to name just a few."

So with Wargames scheduled for 9/11 and the neocon's 'green light' and another President 'sleepwalking through history', we get the finger pointed at...Clinton. Just lovely, huh ? M$M at its worst.

Ptech now goes by the name GoAgile
http://www.goagile.com/

This makes the Dubai Ports dustup pale in comparison.

more fully than any U. S. corporate network will.

Clinton's terrorist intelligence specialists would have told the Bush crowd that they knew there was some intelligence of a possible commercial airliner attack but Cheney, Wolfie, adn Rumsfeld didn't want any briefing from Clinton's people!!!

I suspect this reflects the view in their statement at the top of the page.

In other words:

Since the rightwingers scream LOUDLY that the media is liberal, they need to bend over backwards toward the right to equalize the pressure.

Since the truth isn't equally kind to both presidents, they need to equalize it by blaming Clinton at least as much as Chimpy.

And since the truth has an "agenda," they need to smooth it over with LIES portrayed as facts.

Sickening... :puke:

The White House has confirmed that, on August 6, 2001, President Bush's Presidential Daily Briefing (PDB) specifically focused on al Qaeda's intent to attack the United States, and specifically warned that airplane hijackings could be involved. According to press reports, the PDB included a fresh report from British intelligence warning that al Qaeda was planning multiple hijackings.
