Stephanopoulos: Bush is TRYING to scare people (because of low polls).
(via "Mugsy's Rap Sheet")

ASTOUNDING!

I’ve heard talk radio and the cable shows say it a million times, but to actually hear someone in the Mainstream Media freely admit that President Bush is TRYING to scare people because of lagging poll numbers (and to say it so matter-of-factly) is simply astounding!

(Watch the video here.)

On Tuesday’s ABC World News Tonight, resident political commentator George Stephanopoulos freely admitted President Bush was “trying to scare people” in order to get voters to support Republicans this November in recognition of lagging poll numbers!

Terrorist (n) - Someone that uses fear as a means of advancing a political agenda.

And if that news isn’t shocking enough:

2. The good aspect of Bush using this tactic so ceaselessly
is that
a) it really indicates desperation, and
b) the positive results for Bush will be few and small at best or disastrous at worst.

As more and more people realize W's stupid tactic, the pendulum swings faster and surer our way.

6. Am I the only person here that finds this disturbing???
The way he said it so casually, like it was no big deal that the President of the United States is trying to FRIGHTEN his own citizens because he's lagging in the polls!

And Anchor Charlie Gibson didn't even blink.

Am I the only person here that finds this disturbing???

12. You're not alone
But then, Bush** has been terrorizing this country since January 2001. After a while it becomes the norm for most. But that doesn't mean it isn't psyops and wrong. It's got to stop.

13. No. You're not the only person who finds it disturbing.
Other than voting in a democratic congress what can we actually do about it? Keep in mind that I have trouble dealing with the fact that there were enough people to vote him a second term after experiencing the first and the other fact that there are still people who believe in him and support him fervently after 6 years.

7. It's odd
the more Bush talks the more scared I am of him. This guy clearly gives not a crap for this country or the people in it. It's all about him. It's like one big fear tour. It's been almost 6 years and he'd yet to do anything FOR this country. Add fearfeast 2006 to the long list of ways Bush shows he couldnt give a crap for the country.

15. bush just does not care about anything except lining his own
pockets, plus he has a sick ideology about "good" and "evil" but he does not realize he is as "evil" as ever. What he has done to all of us, all of us, is disgusting.

Olbermann did quite a bit on the Pakistan story, too. Yep, we're sure kickin' ass in that ol' war on terr.

As the late great Steve Irwin would say, "Crikey!"

It is encouraging, though, to see that Stephanopoulos is saying flat-out that bush is TRYING to scare people. Nice to see this in the MSM, especially in a seriously mainstream forum like ABC's main newscast. Blow the whistle on bush.

11. He's been doing that all along
Terra alert! 9/11! Code Orange! 9/11! Code Red! 9/11! New tape from OBL! 9/11! Terra alert! 9/11!

He didn't wait for his poll numbers to start sagging. He's been trying to scare people since 9/12/01. He's just been getting more desperate over time.

18. And we've just been screaming it in their faces for what, four years now?
Did you have the ringer on the clue phone turned down, Georgie? And how is this going to affect your reporting the next time some Bushista comes on your program selling fake terror? Please choose one of the following:

A. Not in the least
B. I'll hope my "liberal" guest (say, George Will) will say something
C. I'll evince the teeniest bit of skepticism
D. I'll openly and actively question the official
E. I'll get all up in his monkey face

Okay, those last three are jokes. I'm a kidder.

19. Republicans use FEAR to achieve their political agenda
That makes them, by definition, TERRORISTS.

Off to Gitmo with them!!!

Better plan: RESIST THE FEAR, refuse to be afraid, refuse to be scared

And plaster this sticker everywhere (use the link underneath to get your own):
