Condi Rice is a disgrace to black Americans
Edited on Tue Sep-05-06 08:19 PM by tgnyc
Yes, she is a disgrace to all Americans, but her actions have been particularly disgusting with respect to African Americans.

A couple years back, when many of us were pointing out all the various problems that Bush's Iraq adenture were bound to face, she had the nerve to suggest that critics were basing their complaints on the race of the Iraqi people. She went on the liken the Middle Eastern disaster to the American Civil Rights Movement. And she had the nerve to deliver this idiotic message before an audience of African-American journalists!

In the immediate aftermath of Katrina, when many observers were noting the non-coincidental racial composition of the victims of Bush's inactivity -- and while she was off having the time of her life on vacation in New York City -- she had the nerve to suggest that her Southern heritage had granted her special insight into Bush's otherwise hidden racial sensitivity.

And now she has the nerve to suggest that those who think it's past time to pull the plug on the fiasco in the desert would have bailed out early on the American Civil War and allowed the South to keep its slaves.

As an American -- and particularly an African-American -- I am absolutely DISGUSTED -- by this woman. She is the worst kind Bush apologist: one who uses her race as a shield against legitimate accusations of racial insensitivy and as a sword against all other legitimate criticisms of her boss.

I'm an angry person, but not a hateful one. Yet after Rice's latest antics, I have to keep it real:

I hate this bitch.

2. She's Simply Disgraceful
I don't think that you can blame anyone but Ms. Rice herself for her destructive actions.

And the audience response thereof.

5. She's a traitor to her ethnicity, women, and her country
But what did we expect from someone who had an oil tanker named after her?

6. "I hate this bitch."
But how do you really feel, tgnyc? :)

I feel you. I'm not someone who's going to instruct anybody how to be black, but she has just gone off the deep end with this comparing the Iraq invasion to slavery shit. She's either a total asshole, a complete fool, a total tool of the Bush administration OR all of the aforementioned.
I agree, as an African American, I'm appalled. She needs to STFU right now!

8. Awful people cross all racial, ethnic and gender groups.
She would be disgusting if she were one of them, white, privileged and from Connecticut. Thinking about her as having the same background and looking like Ann Coulter sort of puts her in perspective. Both women are taking what is being handed to them by the powerful men they enable, which kind of makes both of them big fat HO's.

10. Yet she would not have been permitted to have any political power
under apartheid in South Africa. So it would seem that at one time the ruling powers in South Africa were even stupider than GWB. That's a sobering thought, isn't it?

13. Duh,Yup!
When black folks openly admit that she's a horror, it's a fact. I wonder why she's not out campaigning for any congressional candidates.....

14. True Equality
And Bush is a bastard and a disgrace to the white race. You may well want to throttle me but I must say that your remarks seem racist to me. Why should the Black race not have bitches among their number? We do. All races do. You may be disappointed that she inappropriately uses the race card, but hell, she's no different from White politicians who are forever using race to manipulate others in an effort to advance their positions.

She's simply another human bitch we could all do without. But like the white man, she's playing the game to further her own ambitions. From my vantage point, I view her choices as sad, because she could have used her many talents and education for good. But she's no different than her White counterparts who've chosen other routes which we find reprehensible. But the colour of her skin is neither here nor there (for me that is). You may be sure that our White leaders don't give a whit about others except those within their own sphere of influence and power. Why should Blacks be denied the opportunity to disengage themselves from their race and others to serve only themselves? That's true equality.
