The crunch is on. We need to band together to put out all the fires that the arsonists of the GOP will be setting, between now and November.

Dear Mr. Iger:

I understand you plan to air a two-part miniseries called "The Path to 9/11" on the fifth anniversary of that tragic event. Ordinarily, I would assume this was simply a normal response to a serious desire to understand the truth.

It appears that assumption would be incorrect.

Instead, according to many published reports from those who have previewed the series, it appears more likely to be a political hatchet job. It's troubling when a major network is used as a tool by a corrupt and utterly shameless political machine for reasons which are - so far - unknown. It is even more troubling that you and your network have so little regard for the families and friends of the lost that you would air a false version of events and attempt to let them pass as truth without any response from those whom you intend to smear.

As an American, I would never advocate censorship. I think you should air it, but do it responsibly: Have a panel of the people who were actually there when the events supposedly took place and let them respond to the accusations and allusions made in the miniseries. You owe it to us. We are your liberal, progressive and centrist viewers and we want to be represented.

I would appreciate a prompt reply to my e-mail.
