2001 Sept 11th...12th...13th...14th... "Where are you, Mr President?"
Edited on Tue Sep-05-06 12:37 AM by LynnTheDem
"This is not 1812. It cannot look as if the president has run off, or it will look like we can't defend our most important institutions."
-William Bennett, drug tsar in Bush Sr's administration

"Bush said the attack was a 'test' for the country. It was also one for him. He flunked."
-The late Washington Post columnist Mary McGrory

"I know we're all rallying round the president now, and here I've been, rallying like everybody else. But the hours are passing. The body count is rising. The question can't wait much longer. New York has a right to know. Where are you, Mr President?"
-Newsday's Ellis Henican

Yeah bush, where were you? And where were you when your fellow countrymen were dying in 'Nam? Oh yeah, that's right, "chasing ambitious secretaries around the pool".

And where were you when your fellow countrymen were dying in New Orleans?

And here you are, causing more American deaths than those evil MFing hijackers did on September 11th, 2001.

3. Has there ever been a report
on what he was actually doing for those 3 days besides hiding out?

Did they stash him in one of those "Escape from New York" presidential escape pods until the coast was clear? Or was that the amount of time they needed to prepare him for his New York photo op?

10. Does anyone remember that on 9/12, Rumsfeld was walking
into a meeting and a reporter asked him about our response to terrorism?

He said, "Well, you know, you can never really stop terrorism."

I remember because, naively I thought, what a stupid thing to say when everyone is so upset.

He was probably on his way to look at maps of Iraq with Junior and the Shooter.

11. Bill Clinton was in Australia on 9-11
All air traffic had been halted and yet he still managed to get to New York city before Bush*. Hillary was there the entire time offering what comfort and solace she was able.
