So what was the most important event this weekend?
Just curious because I can't tell from thread count. I'm thinking either the president's insensitive speech, the slew of bodies in Baghdad, or perhaps the fact that we've now lost more soldiers in Iraq than we lost citizens on 9/11.

Oh and we have about 60 days left to do our best to reclaim part of our government.

Keep your eyes on the prize people.

2. For me, personally,
it was losing Mayor O'Connor. Pittsburgh is a lesser city without him. :(

3. A lot of us are fed up
with some of the more extremem forms of nastininess, personal insults and divisiveness that have become the norm here. I don't think this has as much to do with Steve Irwin as it does with a lot of people finally saying "enough".

5. I figure that's a good reason to try and talk about the things
that are in fact most important to us this weekend. We're too close to finally winning something big to implode right before we cross the finish line.

If we do that then we don't deserve to win. And I want to win.

6. My event is a good thing. The Arts Eats and Beats Festival
Edited on Mon Sep-04-06 07:41 PM by notadmblnd
in Pontiac Michigan. We danced and we drank and we drank and we danced. Literaly till sunrise. There was some of the most amazing art and entertainment from artists all over Michigan. Even the people we met were fantastic! Can you believe I even met a couple and their names were Sun and Moon? I haven't had so much fun and done so much living since before my husband died three years ago. I'm still awed by the experience.

on edit:apparently I can't stop fat-fingering the keyboard yet either.
