Bush Fantasizes About Blowing Up Clinton Library & Rove Tells Truth
President Bush once daydreamed about blasting Bill Clinton's presidential library to smithereens, according to a new book.

In "How Bush Rules: Chronicles of a Radical Regime," former Clinton aide Sidney Blumenthal recounts a November 2004 visit by Bush and his political guru Karl Rove to the William J. Clinton Library in Little Rock, Ark., on the banks of the Arkansas River.

"Bush appeared distracted and glanced repeatedly at his watch," Blumenthal writes about a presidential tour during the library's dedication. "When he stopped to gaze at the river, where Secret Service agents were stationed in boats, the guide said: 'Usually, you might see some bass fishermen out there.' Bush replied: 'A submarine could take this place out.'"

.................................
and from Rove:

"'You're not such a scary guy,' joked his guide. 'Yes, I am,' Rove replied. Walking away, he muttered deliberately and loudly: 'I change constitutions, I put churches in schools.'"

Amen to that.

2. Bush' comment was typically childish. He probably plays
with toy weapons in his bathtub.

Rove's comment would have to be characterized more as sarcasm based on his media caricature. Of course, it doesn't mean it isn't the truth.

3. Sometimes I'm still amazed at just how truly SICK these people are
At Clinton's library dedication, all Bushie could think about was a submarine taking the place out?

OK, who's with me on this one: we need to add an amendment to the Constitution that ANYONE running for President MUST be referred to a mental health provider for an examination. We don't need people THIS bat shit crazy carrying the nuclear football and having the codes.

5. We need to stop having holy rollers as leaders, period.
It's hard to fathom why insanity is deemed ok as long as it's religious insanity.

10. Yes, that was the way the article I read presented it.
In fact he said that terrorists could bring in a submarine and blow the place up. That was also the same day he elbowed Clinton out of the way to get through the door first. Probably on something that day that made him paranoid. And not the type of guy who would lay down his life for another.

31. He's always pushing to be first....
Even in the pictures of him with his father, when respect, courtesy and kindness would indicate that a son lets his father lead, Bush the younger is always walking first, going through the door first, taking the lead. Don't get in the way of the BMOC seems to be his entire reason for breathing.

13. "I change constitutions, I put churches in schools."
Is that a joke? If it isn't, it is a frightening thing to read. (Well, it wouldn't be the end of the world if churches were in schools, I'm more worried about the constitution bit.)

16. As far as Bush's remarks, most adults realize that there are some
things that you just don't say out loud, even if you think them. This demonstrates Bush's lack of self disipline, manners, tact, you name it. He is not a rational or reasonable person.
