Our troops are not dying for "democracy" - they are dying for...
George W Bush and the Republican Party. The sad truth is that the Republicans are trying to save face. They screwed up royally when they invaded Iraq and now they do not know how to get out. So they tell the world that our troops are fighting so the Iraqis can have freedom and democracy. Bull Caca! They are dying so the Republicans don't have to accept accountability for one of the biggest military blunders in the history of this country. So now, our troops will continue to die until someone else finds a way to get our troops out. Then the Republicans, in typical fashion, will stand back and accuse others of "cutting and running" and not sticking to their policy for "victory"...It's all so predictable, it makes me ill...

3. A pack of lies!
Bush's "Noble Cause" has always been Bush. His first thought is...What's in it for ME? A far cry from, "Ask not what your country can do for you!" Too stupid to be president or dog catcher.

5. They are dying for the same thing that soldiers have
died for over the millenia...profits. Most wars, with the exception of WWII, have been fought over resources and who was going to control access to resources and the profits that arose from the exploitation of those resources. The primary resource in Iraq is OIL and Bushy and Cheney are really interested in that.
