1. It's just a book about Karl Rove. That's all.
It's on their site.

2. His stepdad was gay
I honestly don't see that to be relevant. Maybe I missed something else.

5. The point was a bit vague, but it had to do with hypocrisy
He's agnostic, yet he arranged for Bush to rile up the Jesus freaks to vote for the Monkey.

He had the Monkey do the gay-bashing, do we need a Constitutional Amendment bullshit, when his beloved stepfather was gay and out.

Do as I say, not as I do--the GOP motto.

The agnostic thing was a bit of a surprise, the stepfather rumor has been out there for years.

It certainly wasn't a bombshell along the lines of "The Bush Twins were Fathered by Karl Rove." Now THAT would be a story!!!!

8. Did everyone just pay attention to the gay step dad and miss the secret...
Abramoff meetings? I don't know it might be a big deal if the right hand man of the President is meeting with a convicted felon, and after numerous reports that Mr. Bush didn't really know of a Mr. Abramoff.

"The book also alleges that Rove held streetcorner meetings with fallen superlobbyist Jack Abramoff, knowing that all visits and phones calls to the White House were logged. Abramoff recently pleaded guilty to tax fraud and conspiring to bribe members of Congress.

"When the latest sidewalk strategy session with Karl Rove had concluded, Jack Abramoff settled into the backseat of his chauffeur-driven car," Moore and Slater write on page 9. "'Like I said, everything that comes out of the White House is logged in. The phone calls he makes. The phone calls he receives. So this is just easier.'""

Maybe I'm the only one who thinks that is important.

9. I thought the big story was Rove's
sidewalk meetings with Abramoff.

10. Well, I guess most people around here are just interested in knowing...
that Rove had a gay step dad, which is about the same way all the little fundies will act, or they will let it pass because Rove "can't be responsible for his step dad's choices."

11. The book has Bush telling an anti-Semetic joke.
But I don't think it was a joke, despite the "punch line."

-----

Book: Bush told reporter Jews are 'all going to hell'

:snip:

"You know what I'm gonna tell those Jews when I get to Israel, don't you Herman?" a then Governor George W. Bush allegedly asked a reporter for the Austin American-Statesman.

When the journalist, Ken Herman, replied that he did not know, Bush reportedly delivered the punch line: "I'm telling 'em they're all going to hell."

14. Sidewalk meetings with Abramhof would be of interest. His stepdad
being gay is not. Hell, I've heard that KKKarl has a bent in that direction. That's still not as interesting (except the hypocrisy of the man if true) as meetings with Abramhof.

Whatever.
