When you're accused of being a 'Bush hater'
how do you all respond? I find when I hear this, there's so much I don't know where to start. What is a good response to put it all in a nutshell?

6. I hate bush but you are in an abusive relationship
I'm a veteran, he deserted
I invest in the stock market, he profited from insider trading
He lied
Our kids are dying because of his low self esteem, he just had to be a war president

My hate is rational and yet you love the man who cares not about you and abuses your faith on a daily basis. I usually include profanity and a loud voice, because those motherfuckers piss me off.

26. yep. If our country is a family, Bush is alcoholic dad who beats kids
rapes them, and uses their lunch money to buy more booze. We're the kid that's willing to say it's wrong, they are the kid that thinks they have a "special relationship" with dad and rationalize everything he does.

Bullshit.

What this gang has done is stealing my vote in 2004, and I'm taking that very personally.

So yes, I'm a Bush hater. I extend my disgust to the whole lot of his cronies and enablers. I want them all in prison where they belong.

47. One could once receive assistance
to flee the "family" situation. Those programs are now going out of business or are vastly underfunded.

Just how does one flee the macro-abusive relationship. Our Constitution cites Impeachment, but Congress refuses to act responsibly, and I guess that would also require them to seek out "enforcers" to secure the defendent(s).

What can be done for those that are stalked by their government. A court-ordered "stay" often doesn't work in cases of domestic abuse, so how much faith can there be when Congress won't press charges and the SCUSA on down won't even issue a cease and desist for fear of "unappointment" in their vocation or a more permanent unappointment to draw breath on earth at the hands of the abuser(s).

Where are those that would make the tough choice to actually defend and/or protect our Constitution?

14. "I don't know Bush....
I hate him for what he's done." This is all I say.

What's ironic is, yet again, the Right has stolen something from us Liberals who they claim to hate: We (correctly) identifies those on a vendetta against Clinton with being Clinton-haters. Now, Bush-supporters are unable to imagine we hate Bush for some very valid reasons, and accuse us of doing what they did to Clinton.

21. Most of the criticism is about POLICY. If he was a tard but effective or
at least benign, no one would care.

That's the exact opposite of the "Clinton Haters" who focused primarily on his personal life (although the effect of the non-stop scandal-mongering was to slow or prevent policy action by Clinton).

You could also remind them that elected officials are public SERVANTS not rock stars or kings. We have a right to critique their job performance.

28. The key is how they accuse you of that
They usually say "You just hate Bush" as though all my political opinions were based on some personal animus towards him. It's the Bushista's way of avoiding debate. My response, and it is admittedly rare because the issue comes up less and less these days, is usually that I hate what he has done to our country and we can tell he's damaged it mightily cuz the only defense his supporters can muster is to attack his critics personally.

41. 'hate?' no, incompetence
,foolhardy wars in asia and fiscal ineptitude are cold policy by
serious opponents, not some emotional fluff i get pissed off about
on tuesdays. These bush mutherfuckers have been the enemies of
good people for a long century, and you don't want to know what
their corruption is like... its really gross, degenerate, male ignorance
glorified as knowledge... 'hate' just doesn't capture the awesome proportions
of how criminal our leadership has been in this war making.

Hate? My god man, where do you get to accusing people of works like that,
i love decent folks man, and i want this war to end in the name of decency,
in the name of the whoos in whooville, dammit. And this grinch, for all the
sick irony, hasn't grown a heart, and has ruled poorly, badly, ineptly,
incompetently, incalculably in error, squandering the opportunity of a thousand
million incarnations to return us to the pre-ww1 period of competing empires,
syllogistically resurrected as corporate entities, the plantations of olde have,
designed a new religion of slave corporatocracy, and we are born in to it, all
of us.

All of us live with the drugs war and its stupid consequences, the real things
that f uckup our lives over and over, because stupid wankers in governmetn are
really clueless as to how to lay off the sauce.

No, sir, i am a conservative, a real libertarian conservative, and bush just ain't

44. Not really a nutshell, but...
"Yes, we hate YOUR President... live with it"

For eight years we watched vicious attacks on a first family that had done nothing but try to serve the American people and bring justice to the world. Sure, they weren't perfect, but who is?

But now, while we watch what is arguably the WORST President in the history of our country shit all over our Constitution, the Geneva Convention, and everything it means to be an American, the only thing you have to say is to call us Bush haters.

Well, no shit. We've been "misled" into war, participated in the slaughter of countless civilians, sent 2500 hundred of our soldiers to the Great Beyond, practically crippled our armed forces, discovered that our President considers himself above any act of Congress, and are now being spied upon IN OUR OWN FUCKING COUNTRY while all too many people shrug and say "so what?."

What's to hate?

You people make me sick. Every one of you Bush apologists is a hypocritical gasbag of monumental proportions. If a Democratic government did 1/10 of these things, you'd be up in arms. Hell, you'd be calling for mass assassinations.

All we want is his impeachment. Clinton lied about sexual indiscretions. Bush lies about EVERYTHING. Yet you seem to consider him above reproach.

What's wrong with you people cannot be fixed. Therapy would be like a bandaid placed over a knife-wound to the belly. We used to think you were simply deluded. Maybe a bit confused.

No, I think now that you're clinically insane. Too crazy to be allowed to vote. You'd vote for a rabid pitbull if he could be taught to speak like a human being. As long as he mouthed the right catch-phrases.

Sure, maybe Bush wouldn't be a bad guy to sit down and have a beer with. But YOU would be picking up the tab. Or maybe you could just defer it to your children and grandchildren. That's the gist of his economic policy, after all. Play now, pay later.

You call us traitors because we don't like Bush?

Fuck you. Look in the goddam mirror. EVERY principle on which this country was founded is but a hurdle for this asshole to jump. He has about as much respect for America as he did for the population of New Orleans when Katrina was bearing down on them. Which is is to say... NOT THE SLIGHTEST BIT.

"America...Love it or leave it." Remember when that was thrown in the faces of those who dared to stand up to oppressive government in the past? We do. You know what? We know who REALLY hates America and all she stands for. YOU PEOPLE. Every last one of you who still think Bush walks on water and turns water into wine. Why don't YOU just get the hell on a boat and get the fuck out of our country?

We don't want you. We don't need you. And we're sick and tired of listening to your stupid excuses.

We don't care where you go. Just go somewhere where you can't fuck up our country anymore. And take your dumbass President with you. We'll even throw you a going-away party.

Bon Voyage, you stupid bastards. Write when you find work.

46. I'm a proud Bush Loather
I think Loathing encompasses something more complex than hate. Hate is shallow and reflexive and based on anger.

Loathing is distaste and revulsion for something that is clearly warped and disgusting.

Maybe that distinction is too subtle for freepers but it's one I'm comfortable with.

I do hate what he's done to our nation though.

50. I say: "you just say that so you can dismiss my
complaints against what Bush has done by saying I don't matter because I'm just a Bush hater. I don't hate the guy any more than you hated Clinton. Republicans really need to stop calling people names like 'Bush hater' and start making convincing arguments about what Bush has done because, honestly, I read eveything he has said about Iraq and he has changed his mind so many times I really do not know why we went to war in Iraq. If Iraq really is necessary to keep American's safe, why did Rumsfeld send only 130K troops when ALL of his generals told him they needed at least 330,000. Instead of calling me names, tell me why Bush did not fight this war to win?"

I get called Bush hater a lot where I live. I've had time to practice. This shuts them up and they seem alittle ashamed when they walk away and the NEVER had done it to me again. Not one of them.

63. When I'm accused of being a Bush hater, I PROUDLY admit it!
If any explanation is necessary, I say I wasn't born hating Bush. Nor did I hate him when he was first sElected; I just thought he was an idiot. I only started hating him when it became clear he was pushing the country into an elective war, an imperialistic war based on trumped-up charges in order to get control of Iraq's oil. Since then, I've found many other reasons to hate him, but that one is still the biggie.

64. Ask that person what they felt about
President Clinton from 1993 to 2000? Bush is definitely not deserving of any more respect than the rigbt wing whack jobs gave Clinton. Heck Clinton wasn't in office a month and he was attacked by the likes of Rush and Falwell. Let us not forget that Falwell used his allegedly religious show to hawk tapes alleging that Clinton was a murderer.

Just returning the respect the right showed the office holder from 1993 to 2000, is what I'd say.
