yesterday Air America had a guest with a book 'End of Religion' or something
like that, he talked about NeuroReligion.. i believe it was the Al Franken stand in..

it was really interesting but i couldn't listen to it, i was just in and out.. and i dont know where to go to find an archive for it.. because i dont know who or when.. saturday is the Best of sections..

can anyone help me... thanks

i am really interested in the subject. the level of consciousness where the human brain is able to perceive the level of social interaction of religion is about 11 to 15.. religion sticks people in this perceptual limitation to reality,, this is why they are so against evolution.. you have to quit evolving to continue believing in the gODs.. once your perceptual level evolves out of the tribal limitations into a world view.. you can never go back, and the fundies realize that..

1. That was Lawrence O'Donnel subbing on Thursday. Sam Harris was the
author:

Thursday, August 31
by Eric Hananoki on August 31, 2006 - 7:05am.

On Thursday and Friday, former ‘West Wing’ executive producer and Franken Show Tuesday regular Lawrence O’Donnell handles hosting duties for the vacationing Al Franken. The guests on his first show:

Sam Harris, the author of the New York Times bestseller, The End of Faith: Religion, Terror, and the Future of Reason and Letter to a Christian Nation.

and Senator Christopher Dodd, a Democratic Senator from the state of Connecticut.

UPDATE: Thanks to Janeane Garofalo, our surprise guest on the show.

I remembered it because it was a fascinating discussion.

Religion, Terror and the Future of Reason" and "Letter to a Christian Nation"

Per the AAR web site, shows Harris as the guest.

6. I strongly recommend everyone read Sam Harris's "The End of Faith"
If you have any interest in seeing reason, inquiry and facts trump religion, superstition and stealth theocrats, get the book, read it, and arm yourself with the heavy factual and intellectual artillery which Harris provides.

7. I highly recommend the End of Faith - not the book, the actual end
Faith is the belief in what you know is not true.
