GWB appearances/speech zones

Has anyone noted any difference in the past six months as to the "freedom zones" being so far from the idiot in chief?

I haven't been to any, but I wondered if the idiot has made any "human" concessions and allowed protesters closer to his public appearances at any point.

I would be curious to hear from those who have gone to protests at his speeches.

And another thing: has anyone ever gone to an appearance by Cheney? Are the "zones" a mile away for his like they are for the idiot in chief? Or does Cheney actually have enough balls to listen to his detractors close at hand?

1. Been to one, couldn't get within target range.

When his daddy came to San Francisco it was the same way. We the people, were not allowed within four blocks of his highness. Contrast that to when Bill and Al came to Los Gatos. Interior Limo lights ON so we could see them, people allowed to gather right next to them, and after dinner, Bill walked the street and addressed the whole crowd. Must have given the S.S. fits but it sure thrilled us. Guess you can do that sort of thing when you are not the most hated man on the planet.
