Was Jon Stewart on rerun this week?
We were out of town, but was glad that, last week, the Westmark Hotel in Whitehorse, Yukon, carried COM. Just in time to see Stewart comparing Bush to Lennon, showing that famous LP cover. Could not stop laughing.

And then, the best of Bushism for just $4.99, or something.

2. Stewart & Colbert both had to come to LA for the Emmy's last week
so they took the whole week off. 'Spect they'll be back live on Tuesday.

3. I get withdrawal symptoms when they vacation. . .
I don't think they should be allowed to leave us at the same time. The BS that they need to attend to never takes a vacation.

7. Oh yes, the Emmys
Did not watch it but am glad that Jon Stewart won, again, and am glad the "24" finally got the recognition it deserved.

Also glad that Alan Alda won his for the West Wing.

5. A hilarious rerun on Conan O'Brien the other night
Where Colbert was and they ran an earlier clip where Conan shot Colbert for saying that the children of Rosa Parks should have apologized for her taking a front seat on the bus.

I've never watched it, never watched Conan as it is too late, really. But was watching Lennon and the ads promised Colbert and having a jet lag, anyway, I watched it.

6. they usually fly the entire wrting, producing, editing team to LA
The staff behind the scenes (writers, producers, editors, etc) are the lifeblood of the show.

Sure Jon and Steven are great but they support staff behind the scenes does more than most people realize.

I've read they usually give the entire staff the week off and the trip to LA to celebrate.

The guest host couldn't do much without the rest of the staff.

What I'd rather see is best of shows cut together with mostly
interviews from past shows.
