1. Extra-strength Kool-Aid.
Plus wearing kneepads in Karl Rove's presence. Mort Kondrake is the Funky Winkerbean of punditry.

6. I seem to remember
him being on Crossfire , etc, speaking for the left. So sad, that he is such an asswipe for the right.

10. I remember him from The McLaughlin Group.
"More-tons-of-fun" is how John McLaughlin referred to him.

15. Some start earning money and buy into the whole idea
that the Democrats and Liberals are synonymous with high taxes....

Notice I said some, like our friend Mort, probably become enamored with their success and think that others can become successfully as well through hard work...

I'm just guessing, but most of my Friends from college who were liberal on most issues are now more conservative as they start to have to pay for the programs and benefits they once shampioned...

Ronald Reagan epitomized that approach to life as he switched from being an advocate for labor and working class issues to becoming the conservative movements poster boy...

Oh and remember Bush the elder was pro-choice until he hitched up with Reagan....

Me, the only time I flirted with conservatism was when I was in the last stages of Alcoholism back in 1983...

Soon as I sobered up, though, I got back on track....

9. He drinks the water and breaths the air at Faux News.
There is definitely something viral that people catch when they work there.

After watching David Shuster since he switched to MSNBC, I do think that once a person is away from the contaminants, they can recover.

14. I do watch Fox at times, as well
as ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC and PBS. Is there a problem with that? I like to see how the same story is protrayed by each station.

17. Kondracke was a mild liberal
Like the kind that would defend the Democrats if you pushed him, but otherwise, very milquetoast middle-of-the-road. I haven't seen a radical transformation in him but then I never watch Fox.

18. There's something called "a TIRED LIBERAL"
like Judy WOODRUFF. She's married to Al HUNT. Back in the '90s CNN was accused of being "the CLINTON News Network." Shrub was then just an alcoholic coker. He violated the HUNT family in a restaurant, drunk and stumbling, and used the F-word on them. He's such a turd, has always been a turd, will always be one.

19. Mort's not as bad as Fred Barnes.
Having the two of them on The Beltway Boys makes Mort look relatively sane by comparison to chirpy Bushbot Barnes.

20. he IS the liberal for Fox News
that's what they consider liberal. his wife died of Parkinsons and he wrote a book about her and had been trying to fight for stem cell research. but he sold out in order to whore for Fox where he can't really advocate for his positions.
