Armageddon is indeed here. Falwell heaps praise on Jim Webb!
Ten weeks before election day, conservative TV evangelist Jerry Falwell is heaping surprising praise on the Democrat opposing Sen. George Allen's re-election bid in Virginia.

In an interview on Forbes.com, Falwell, 73, makes his first comments about Allen's opponent, James Webb. Falwell says he disagrees with Webb on social issues, but gives the politician a personal ranking of "A-."

Webb is the second ideological foe Falwell has warmed up to this year. In May, Falwell invited Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) to speak at Liberty University, the Christian college in Virginia that the evangelist founded in 1971 and runs with his son Jerry Falwell Jr. (See: Prophets of Boom)

Or Falwell may just be hedging his political bets, now that Allen has seen the 19-point lead in the polls he held at the beginning of the summer evaporate, following recent controversial remarks to a Webb campaign worker.

1. He NEVER wants to be out of the fucking loop, does he?
He's scouting the neighborhood, and realizes that it's WEBB in a lock.

This way he can say, after the race is done, that HE "told them so."

4. I don't care if he wants to stay inor get out of the loop!
I KNow thee's a lot of followers who will now feel OK in voting Webb!

I was talking to my son yesterday abouthow all the Pubs in the Atlanta area can't seem to think for themselves. He told me that evvery Wed, Sat, and Sun. all the Evangelical churchespreach how great Shrub is and how BAD the Dems are, andbecause they are soreligion oriented, they bow their head and say YES LORD! If it takes Fallwell to tell these folks that a Dem is fine, then I'll take it! I honestlythink we can never get through tothose folks without the approval, at least in the margins, and ever get the vote of any of them.

As much as Idetest Fallwell and hisredical preaching, I'll personally thank himfor statinga Dem is OK!

6. He reminds me of an old folk song about an English bishop
who lives through all the changes of leadership in England by changing his theology each time a new power reaches the thrown. Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of the song.

He knows he's done Satan's bidding all along, and now he's trying to repent.

11. He's worried about his tax free status
The reward these fundies have earned for themselves is the loss of tax free status.
I think Falwell would stop at nothing to protect that.
First one that lets that jerk into our boat gets his skull busted with an oar.

Its falwells turn-about because they know they are about to get their asses handed back to them, and lose hard they will...Falwell wants to keep his Governmential influence so he is playing 'nice' to those he thinks he can maintain influece over. So, Falwell is wearing a false face to those he may want something from, a cold calice bastard like Falwell is the 6 headed beast...Falwell and the like are to NEVER EVER be trusted.
