GOVERNORS OPPOSE FEDERALIZED NATIONAL GUARD. The nation's governors sought help yesterday from Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld in their ongoing fight against proposals in Congress to give President George W. Bush more control - and governors less - over the National Guard during disasters. A letter from the two chairpersons of the National Governors Association, along with the two governors who head the group's work on the Guard, asked Rumsfeld to join the opposition of governors to proposed changes spurred by the chaos and delays in sending help that followed Hurricane Katrina.

1. Oh for goodness sake. Here I thought that the governors all

amazingly had found the where-with-all to stand up and tell this corrupt asshole to pound sand and they go and do something like this.

This is just another indication of what a liars bush** & the criminal cabal are. They say that they want states to take more responsibility for themselves but then they go and try to take the 'military' (or whatever you want to call it) resouces of the states away.
