I don't think you people are terrified enough.
Something seems to be wrong here, we were terrified as hell five years ago, now folks seem less terrified, and terror terror terror all the time is giving us a hangover.

Jeez Americans, what will it take? We have almost daily terror from the sky alerts, daily reminders that we were attacked on September the 11th, numerous t.v. and big screen movies to constantly re-enforce our terror buttons.

bush's ridiculous speeches he plans on reading over the next few days till the election, will get more ridiculous and unbelievable, and the citizenry seems to have grown callous and complacent and bored with all the constant war terror war terror blabfests.

What's it going to take to terrify you people anyway?

2. I'm all terrored-out.
Edited on Fri Sep-01-06 07:38 AM by Kutjara
Honestly, I think my brain's 'terror center' has burned out. Nothing scares me anymore. I just can't summon the energy to fear. This extends to every aspect of life, not just terrorist attacks or natural disasters. This weekend, I think I'll get blind drunk, drive everywhere really fast and have lots of unprotected sex with total strangers and/or livestock. After all, if we're all doomed anyway, I'd prefer to choose the manner of my departure.

Yep, if the repugs can just figure out how to get snakes on a plane and then blame it on Defeatist Dems who want to cut and run.

4. It'll take more than this little........
....pipsqueak and his constant drivel. The only thing that really terrifies me is the possibility of this 'reign of Terror' continuing after the '08 Elections and how much worse Bush can make it 'til then.
If the 'Terrorists' hate us because of our Freedom than they should positively adore us by now - because the only Freedom we have these days is the Freedom to do as we're told. This ain't America anymore!

6. Oh I'm terrifed all right
The sad thing is, that at this point, I'm as afraid of my own government as I am of the actual terrorist. Each day, this regime uses the terror agenda to further its own twisted agenda of corporate control. While Bush esposes the idea of spreading freedom and democracy abroad, each day our freedoms are being further eroded, and we come closer to a police state.

Which is more terrifing?

8. the tipping point
The tipping point is that after five years of these cheap terror stunts, the great mass of American stupid people are saying: "Whoa, there, varmint! This here prezdent of urs really done think wur stupid!"

They're overplaying the only hand they have and the populous has grown immune to it.

14. Welcome to DU!
There are very few "actual terrorists", even among fundamentalists Muslims...

The B*sh administration is everywhere, has access to the world's most sophisticated spying equipment and it's finger on The Button.

Fear of the government, as brought to you by the neo-cons, is wholly rational.

15. Did you also feel that he was scanning the audience for his 1st speech
for reactions to his "strong points" and seemed very insecure as he often seemed to get no response at all or a lukewarm aplause at best.

Especially near the end.
