Democrats must investigate
We should not obsess over impeachment if the Democrats win the majority in Congress. However, we must investigate. We must get to the bottom of all the missing funds. We must find the truth for the people. We must find out just how corrupt our government really is. We must do that to heal our country. We must know that our country is well before we can move forward. The only way to do that is to investigate.

No, we don't need to impeach anyone before we know the facts. But the Congress of this country has an obligation to the people to find out the truth about our government - to uncover the lies and to lay bare the cover-ups. It is not enough to sweep it under the rug in the name of "bi-partisanship". We need to know the truth about what our government has been doing. Unfortunately, we have had a partisan Congress that refused to get involved in such matters as oversight and it has cost our nation greatly.

We know there is corruption because some are in prison as we speak. We know there were bribes of government officials. We know there were paybacks for contracts, mostly military. We know there is at least $9 billion missing in Iraq and unaccounted for. We need to find some answers. We need to find a lot of answers. The only way to do that is to investigate.

Democrats should declare right now that they plan to use their subpoena power to gather witnesses and to get to the truth about the lies and corruption of this Adminsitration. We, the people, demand it.

1. A thorough investigation
will lead to impeachment naturally. It will become unavoidable once the public is exposed to the outrages committed by this band of criminals

3. Yay, Kentuck.
Always on the money!

Yes, we have to do all those things and make sure it never happens again. This time for sure.

5. They are reduced to using that very power against us.
The new rallying cry is "Those bastard Democrats will investigate and try to impeach Bush! How dare they!"

Unfortunately for the Republican plutocrats, we the people do demand it. We need to work to get it. Just voting isn't enough. Start by just discussing the issues with random people. I've been stuck in the grocery store much longer than planned doing that. You'd be surprised how energized you can get people just that way.

Call it Viral Marketing. It works on the net.

6. I will go for the investigation. Sure fine, but prison should be the
ultimate outcome.

7. We need to demand our Congress do this.
Once they regain power, the easy route is to let by-gones be by-gones and forget everything that has happened in the past, like Clinton did in 1992, but we shoud not let them do that again. They work for us. We, the people, are the government.
