CA DUers. Will Ah-Nold get re-elected?
I have sick feeling that because Angelides is making himself invisible and has no charisma at all, that this groping moron will have another term in Sacramento.
The Horror! The Horror!

Can Angelides pull something out and depose this idiot?

Whadaya think?

1. Not if the Ca. Dem. Party keeps running those adds...
It's one of the best ads against Arnold I've ever seen. Very effective, IMO.

13. It's like a mantra chant...
You can probably see it at California Democratic Party website.

2. I think it's a distinct possibility....
My sense is that the CA dems screwed up badly. I don't know if he is less invisible on TV-- I don't do TV-- but I can tell you that he has pretty much zero visibility in my part of the state otherwise. And he's not much of a choice in any event as near as I can tell.

7. I have only seen ONE Angelides spot on TV.
ONE!
He's not exactly making himself visible.

3. Personally, I think Arnie will pull off a win, but...
Angelides has some hope in the fact that even though he's behind, Arnie is also fairly well below the 50% mark. Last poll I saw showed him in the low to mid 40's as I recall. The number one thing Angelides needs to do is get the heck out there. He's been a total no-show so far.

5. Yes I am afraid so. He is acting like a Dem ever since his special
election flopped and he has the majority of the people believing he has changed his political leanings.

I suspect that as soon as he gets reelected he will revert back to his wingnut self.

6. Yes...
I have no doubt because of 2 reasons:

1. Some folks will simply 'not' vote for Angelides because he doesn't have the 'charisma' the actor does to them. We all know how well that worked out when people voted for * because he's the kind of guy they wanted to have a beer with.

2. Others will buy the moderate stance Ahnold is displaying now.

The masses will never wake up.

8. Not if the Dems keep playing that clip of Schatzie with GWB
saying over and over and over again, "George W. Bush" (uck, it even FEELS bad to type that) ... Tag line at end: Schwarzenegger is for ***; is he for you?

I think that ad's pretty effective, even if it doesn't mention Angelides specifically.

9. Some Democrats have a plan
<snip>
SACRAMENTO - California would become the only state to offer its residents government-operated health care under a bill sent Thursday to Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, although it's unlikely the governor will sign it.

The bill was among dozens lawmakers approved as they rushed to meet a midnight deadline before the end of the current legislative session.

The health care bill "will make quality health care available to each of us while preserving our freedom of choice as consumers and patients," the bill's author, Democratic Sen. Sheila Kuehl, said after the Senate agreed to Assembly amendments on a 24-12 party-line vote.

Under the amended bill, California residents essentially would pay their health insurance premiums, copays and deductibles into a state-funded health insurance program. Money the state spends on health care also would go into the new system.

Of course, Angelides does not know if he would back the plan (idiot). I do know one thing, the insurance companies are absolutely spastic about the bill going to the Governor right now.

Would it be great if the health insurance companies are literally kicked-out of the state right now!

12. If Grey Davis could get himself elected twice in a
straightforward election, I say that Angelides will win. Remember that Arnold did not get the same number of votes to become Governor that Grey did because of the stupid way the recall worked.

Arnold may win votes if he signs the new health care bill. If he doesn't, I don't think he will win. I live in a rather conservative area of California and the scuttlebutt I am getting is that Arnold isn't really popular even though he won our county when he became governor.

15. Angelides will win
The communications director for the Angelides campaign checked in at DKos today:

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2006/8/31/205537/500

Hello everybody. My name is Amanda Crumley, and I recently joined the Angelides for Governor campaign as communications director.

In the coming days and weeks you will hear a lot from our campaign and, in turn, we hope to hear from you.

The great people at GovernorPhil.com, part of the incredible California blogosphere, are doing a great job of getting Phil's agenda and ideas out to a broader audience and it is my goal to help them and other members of the online community get the information they need to engage the netroots with our campaign.

I've had the personal pleasure of meeting both UTBriancl and neutron and we communicate with them and other California-based bloggers regularly.

For my first post, I'm going to offer a quick update on where things are with the campaign. To the extent I've left any questions unanswered, I'll post regularly and answer questions you might have.
