As they trudged off to fight the enemies in the Middle East, they were caught in a terrible storm. But they told the people it was only a spring rain and it was needed to make democracy grow. So they decided to have a vote to see if all the enemies appproved of our occupation of their homeland. Look! they said. Look at their purple fingers! They have tasted the sweetness of freedom and they tempted fate just to vote. Democracy is on a roll! Thanks to our great leaders.

As two thousand of our bravest warriors died in the long journey, our leaders said it was nothing to be alarmed about. In the great war of 60 years ago, we lost more than that in just a matter of hours. Look at all the other peoples in the Middle East - they want to be like us too. As our businesses are booming back home, we are teaching other people how to be free half-way around the world. America is definitely at the pinnacle of her greatness, they said.
