Something that stuck out in the Brian Williams interview with Buxh
Edited on Thu Aug-31-06 02:37 PM by JohnnyRingo
Williams gave him an easy forward pass that a seasoned politician could have grabbed and run to the end zone. He could have been doing a touchdown dance all month.

To paraphrase the question:
"In the last two years of your term, do you plan to begin leading America toward energy independance in the 21st century?"
"Will we stop sending money to the Middle East where it ultimately feeds terrorism?"

And what does Buxh do with this political softball after he gets his hand on it?
Does he at least lie and say it would be a major accomplishment of his legacy?

Again, to paraphrase his answer:
"My only goal is to destroy Social Security and Medicare before I leave office."

On edit, here's a link to a 2 minute video of that part of the interview:

He used other words, but I heard it as above.

4. Too many lies floating up there to seize the opportunity...
I immediately caught the OUT AND OUT LIE that Bush had no plans to invade Iraq before 9/11.

I couldn't watch any more. I just don't have the energy!

5. What Stuck Out For Me
Was everytime they moved away from one of the houses in the background you could clearly see the "Habitat For Humanity" sign. Junior travels all that way to boast about how much money the Federal Government is spending on New Orleans - and the only houses he can find to use as a backdrop are ones built by a private charity?
