Can you see what the administration going to do with this whole Iran thing? They are going to let Iran go nuclear (which I don't think really matters, and actually could be a good thing) and then they are going to frame one of their political enemies for helping Iran and accuse them of treason. The Repugs will love it!! It will intimidate people into "seeing things their way." There will be a huge trial and controversy and the Right will sit around and talk about how "un-patriotic" the Left is because we don't execute someone framed for something that shouldn't be a crime in the first place.

1. don't think they have that much intelligence

as in "smarts". The NeoCon/PNAC platform is all about violence as a means to an end: the American Empire. They will destroy individuals (Plame & Wilson), if they become inconvient, but otherwise they don't really notice them. The Neo's long time plan is to bomb/invade Iran, and I think only the military will be able stop them, perhaps by a coup or other means.

2. More likely scenario...

Word gets out that nuclear components supplied by Pakistan to Iran were originally acquired from companies Cheney and Rumsfield fronted in the 90's. Information gets blacked out in the MSM.

The WH outed an undercover CIA agent working on Iran's nuclear efforts, undermining her entire network. WH treason should get the blame.
