Do conservative nationally syndicated radio talk hosts ever get fired?
(TV gigs don't count, so Savage is spared.)

Wait... OK, I thought of one, Bob Grant (though I'm not sure if he was syndicated).

But what do I know? Maybe bottom line dictated that Mike be shown the door. Just like maybe all these bland, boring ,seen-one-seen-'em-all, derivative Republican hosts really bring in the dollars, go figure. Maybe people do clamor to PAY for the privilege of hearing Michael Reagan (zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz) online. Maybe there are early morning commuters looking to get fired up for the day with the EXCITING banter of Bill Bennett (zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz). Maybe up is down and down is up, who am I to judge?

Interesting though that it just seems that progressive hosts get the pink slip while the righties get book deals. Ah well...

2. They are safe as long as they
don't dabble in the truth and don't attempt to hold republicans accountable for anything. And they most likely have a quota of people they have to hate during every show. And, they must make their shows available to any "conservative" public figure who might be in trouble. Other then that, free pass city for those who couldn't make a living any other way.

4. You reminded of a term I'm embarrassed to admit I'd never heard before
"Legacy admissions"

I knew there was a sort of Affirmative Action for the blue-bloods at the top-shelf colleges but I never knew there was an actual term for it.

5. Is AAR still keeping mum?
As a general rule, hate, fake news, fictional universes and bad news sell; peace, love, good news and reality do not. People gotta get their hate braces.

After all, look at the churches. When all they had to offer was the teachings of some character like JC and their message was peace, love and integrity, they had trouble giving it away. When the churches broke into anger, hate, division, slime, greed and all the other accouterments of today's wickedness fests, they struck gold.

The mega church and all the public silliness that go directly against their founding teachings are among the larger influence peddlers and wealth accumulators in the world, rivaling most of the large businesses and proving once and for all that begging, done right, is an honorable profession (among thieves) and among the highest paid.

6. Not conservative, but...
...There were a few syndicated shock jocks who lost their whole network.

Bubba The Love Sponge was syndicated on quite a few Clear Channel stations. After Nipplegate, CC dropped him like a bad habit. He's currently on Stern's channel on Sirius.

And of course, there's Opie and Anthony. They were growing like crazy, and then came the infamous "Sex for Sam" incident. POOF! Their entire affiliate base was gone and they were fired by CBS. Of course, CBS came crawling back when David Lee Roth (there's another one!) was given the axe. So Opie and Anthony are back, and doing quite well. Might even make CBS's riduculous "Free FM" endeavor work.
