Bush: "We face an enemy that has an ideology. They believe things."
“The best way to describe their ideology is to relate to you the fact that they think the opposite of the way we think.”

I still don't see any sign that Bush thinks at all.

1. Why does this moran keep talking?
What is his Christian stuff - it's not ideological?

Oversimplify, black and white, he's such a moran.

4. Did you see KO's great clip of great moments in speechifying?
It was truly funny and scary at the same time (actually, KO was playing a clip from Letterman -- credit to both of them...)

----

DAVID LETTERMAN, “LATE SHOW”: It‘s time for great moments in presidential speeches. Here we go.

FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT, FMR. U.S. PRESIDENT: "That the only thing we have to fear is fear itself."

JOHN F. KENNEDY, FMR. U.S. PRESIDENT: "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country."

GEORGE W. BUSH, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES: "And I think I saw one guy spitting in a can."

----

The audio made it so much better...the strong oratory of FDR and JFK juxtaposed with Chimpy's "hehehe" smirkiness. It was brilliantly sad.

7. And there's more . . .
Edited on Thu Aug-31-06 10:05 AM by Jack Rabbit

"These are important times, and I seriously hope people wouldn’t politicize these issues I’m going to talk about," Mr. Bush said after a fund-raiser at a house in Little Rock, Ark.

I guess Dick Cheney and Don Rumsfeld aren't "people". That just confirms what I always suspected.

10. Note to Bush: YOU ARE THE ENEMY!
YOU have an ideology. YOU believe things that are not in keeping with the Constitution of the United States of America.

You had to steal two elections to implement your fascist agenda in America, you have invaded a sovereign nation without cause or reason, and you are responsible for the deaths of thousands of innocent people, Americans as well as others.

You present yourself as a Christian man, yet you do NOTHING that indicates you follow the Christian lifestyle. You are lying to everyone, but you and God know your sins. You will pay for them, sooner or later.

YOU are the terrorist. YOU are the ENEMY.

11. Why couldn't we have enemies that didn't believe things?
They would be so easier to defeat - a bunch of guys just kind of wandering around; some would have guns; others wouldn't. Every now and then one might make a half-hearted attempt to do something but then say, "Eh," and continue being apathetic.

14. By this "pretzel" logic...
“The best way to describe their ideology is to relate to you the fact that they think the opposite of the way we think.”

... he considers most of us and the majority of the citizenry who oppose his war the "enemy". We SHOULD be afraid, not of the terrorists, but of our own government who, by the President's assertions, consider us the "enemy". I think the opposite of the way this President thinks.

Everybody "believes things".

Why am I suddenly frightened??

16. I think Bush had a psychotic mental break during
the reading of My Pet Goat 9/11/2001 and his handlers have been hiding it as much as possible but figure now 2 years into his 2nd term it doesn't matter anymore.

:eyes: OY! I begin to imagine Bush standing every morning looking at himself in the mirror going, "This is my belly button, this is my neck, these are my toes, etc." just to get his brain into gear.

26. Maybe the control system that provides the script he is supposed
to deliver is being revealed through audio "technical difficulties" (especially via the precedence effect) or perhaps most people now realize that to glean the truth we should reverse what is said by any "official" of the BFEE.

28. This has become farcical..........
Why can't we have serious, thoughtful and factually supported discussions about the issues facing America and the world today? Where are the thinkers, the principled and the good hearted? This is so intolerable.
