Kristen Breitweiser's letter to Ann Coulter
I posted something a few days ago that was deleted due to my choice of adjective to describe Ms. Coulter. In the post I said how infuriated and saddened I was while watching the National Geographic program on 9/11. I was especially pissed by Ann Coulter's comments about the 9/11 widows. Kristen Breitweiser was one of the widows interviewed and her harrowing account of her husbands death was heartbreaking. I was informed in a follow up comment that Mrs. Breitweiser was a right winger whom Ann Coulter agreed.

Apparently Mrs. Breitweiser does not agree with Ms. Coulter.

In her new book, she includes a letter to Ms. Coulter written after Ann's shitty hate filled book came out.

Here is some of the 5 page letter from Mrs. Breitweiser to Ms. Coulter. (I hate calling her Ms. Coulter but I am afraid that if I said what I really think about her, this post would be deleted).

Ann, I don’t want to get in a debate with you. It’s not because I am afraid of you or your nasty bullying tactics. I’m not going to debate you because we have many, many more important issues to deal with in our country right now.

But I will leave you with this: We live in America, the world’s oldest democracy. Democracy can prevail (is that what you and your friends really fear?), but that requires hard work, as President Bush might say. Every citizen in this country is entitled to his or her beliefs, and every citizen is entitled to participate. We still have the right to speak our minds to effect change (within the parameters of the law, of course). So don’t try to silence the voices of victims or anyone else, merely because you disagree with them or feel threatened by their political choices. In my opinion, your method of using intimidation and insults to "win" a debate is truly unpatriotic.

Actually, I expect that you will continue to scream and shout and smear as nastily as you want, so long as you think that that kind of behavior sells books. But we have tackled bigger bullies than you and lived through far worst circumstances than your book tour. We’re not intimidated by you. We’re not running away.

And under no circumstances will we be silenced by your "godless" rantings and ravings

If this was posted before, I apologize. I just like to point out when I have been incorrectly maligned.

1. Best. Line. Ever.
But we have tackled bigger bullies than you and lived through far worst circumstances than your book tour.

Go Kristen!

2. Eloquent!
It probably won't have any effect on the mindless, shrill coulter. But, it may get some of coulter's fans to think.

4. It's to bad Kurt Vonnegut has been defeated by Bush
Ann Coulter would make a good model for an updated Mother Night.

5. Wow - now you have me wondering what you said that
got you deleted. I don't think there's any vile term that describes Coulter that should get a DU'er deleted here - and this is not a criticism of our wonderful moderators. There's a lot of vile words that if you look in the dictionary you should see a picture of Coulter.

I posted the same paragraphs from Kristen Breitweiser a couple of weeks ago when I got her book. I got taken to task by a few DU'ers for what I called Coulter at the time - so you have my sympathy.

It pains me that Kristen's book, Wake-Up Call: The Political Education of a 9/11 Widow, has been out a couple of weeks - came out earlier than date that was posted at Amazon - and I haven't seen Kristen on any pundits show. Geez, when Coulter was spewing her vile against the widows you couldn't turn on the TV without seeing her skanky body and face.

I wish Kristen's book was getting more exposure. Right now it is at 2,867 on Amazon and 26,969 on B&N. DU'ers, if you can afford it - get a copy of this book.

6. I can't even use rhyme to say what I called her
Edited on Thu Aug-31-06 01:41 PM by Mortos
that got deleted too. I can't believe there is no mainstream media coverage for this book...oh wait, yes I can. We have no reporters anymore, only entertainers.

A poem to Ann Coulter

Can't you cease your bile
Useless words and hate
Not, it seems, your style
To soon you'll learn your fate

7. Think now.
What word is considered so denigrating around here that even to rhyme it is considered an "affront."
