I am disappointed how Air America has unceremoniously dumped Mike Malloy. However, I had a funny feeling they would do this. Maybe he is just too much of a lefty for Air America to deal with. I also suppose he did get a little too critical towards the suits at Air America because he was not on in New York. This does not mean they should have gotten rid of him. He was a very important part of the network. I do really wonder if it was the fact that Malloy was too controversial for Air America.

All I know is that Air America shot themselves in the foot tonight. It makes me question what is next for the network. Tonight, we have lost one of the true blue Democratic voices. His passion and humor are too hard to replace. Yes. Randi Rhodes is still there as is Thom Hartmann but nobody....NOBODY can replace Mike Malloy. This bad move by Air America makes me seriously consider not listening to them anymore. I am mad!

I only hope there will be a station out there that will bring him on. Of course, it maybe a long time before this happens. Maybe an Air America affiliate somewhere will hire him and he can do a local show. Well, at least there is still Mike Webb and Bernie Ward out on streaming audio.

1. The only shows I'll stay for.
Sam Seder. Not every day, but I *do* like Sam. He's come a long, long way. He's damned good.

Ring of Fire. I've got to have this show on weekends. Bobby and Pap are great.

3. I have to wonder how Mike being fired will effect the other hosts.
How safe will they feel in speaking on their shows.

Could this be a warning to the others to watch what they say.

4. AAR started losing me when they killed Morning Sedition
The one show that had me going to work every morning with a smile on my face.

Now they've completely lost me. Fuck 'em.
