How about a Flowers for Olbermann project?
Like what was done for Helen Thomas? Someone with more savvy and experience than I, can you head it up?

7. Fair to middle. Living in NH right now.
Thinking about moving on to Boston, but nothing definite and no quick moves. Doing research and getting ready to write a book.

13. Got my oldest daughter moved in for her second year
at Mercer Univ. in Macon (where her mom teaches.) Trying to get my middle daughter through her Sr. year in H.S. (going to be Valedictorian just like her older sister was...hear the pride?) And, watching my youngest daughter as she enters middle school. Mulling over a career change myself.

16. Thinking about going back into teaching
Physical Education after 24 years in another "classified" occupation. Coaching is my first love, and since I've got another 20 years to retirement, thought I might as well get paid to do something I like. Know what I mean?

Does he have a favorite food or candy?

Be creative. Flowers? For a man? Thomas, Boxer....fine, but not Keith.

I've e-mailed him my thanks. I'm a guy (straight one at that...not that it matters) and I like flowers, but if anyone can come up with another idea, I'm all for it!

26. I don't know for sure - I am a fulltime mom who is also a campaign manager
I would love to but hesitate only in that I am doing a lot right now. I CAN commit to helping. I know the people at Organic Bouquet. We raised the money before via paypal.

10. Olberman's great, but the flowers should be a special ocassion
we shouldn't send them everytime somebody in the media actually does their job.

17. Have you seen it? The clip is on Crooks and Liars
and this went way above "doing his job". It was a landmark broadcast. Instead of flowers we could do a plaque or a shadowbox or something, they are pretty cheap at any trophy store.

18. He already got a tie from the KOEB and I think flowers
would embarrass him.

He also has Celiac Disease, so I'd be careful with what foods I'd send him.

I think a horde of HAND-WRITTEN, STAMPED and US POSTAL SERVICE-MAILED letters would probably be the best thing to do. An email is quick and easy, but if one takes the time to actually put pen to paper and buy a stamp and mail a letter, it's taken more seriously.

20. What Would Be Better
Email the C&L clip to everyone you know, along with times & station info for your area!

I think that would serve KO better than flowers.

24. Also a good idea.
Create a buzz. Write letters and emails. Explain to everyone that THIS is how journalism is SUPPOSED to work: protection of free speech and the First Amendment.
