I wish I could get excited about KO's speech, but I've been burned before
Keith Olbermann was as astounding in his delivery tonight as he was incandescent in his anger at Rumsfeld. I think the entire nation needs to do this in response to his speech:

But 2004 was the year John Kerry was going to wrench the White House out of the hands of the neo-fascists. Didn't happen. Our nation is still waiting for its own Churchill, while too many Democratic contenders for 2008 seem to be anything but.

Keith was terrific. But I need to know that something is actually going to happen this year. Maybe I just need a hug.

1. You got that right..
... there are only 2 folks worthy of carrying the torch for Dems, one took an administrative position and the other will just never have the momentum - because in America we like things simple.

8. This leader will come from the people. One of us will do it.
I don't know who, but one of us regular people will put the REPUBLIKLAN Party out of power.

Why look to politicians who appear in the debt of corporations?

9. Lemme guess.
Dean and Clark, respectively.

Clark has grassroots mo', but sadly, the corporate media seems out in left field on that one.

2. Here......
:grouphug:

Hey, at least someone is finally saying something. And not just a crazy comedian like Colbert. KO is a legit journalist.

Agreed, this is hardly "enough," but it is a glimmer of truth shining out from the darkness.

3. Thanks
Maybe the glimmer is actually, at long last, the end of the tunnel?

4. What we need is Democrats to get out there and knock on doors.
I know the professionals have all kinds of special maps, and we should do some of that, but I also think we ought to knock on doors in our own neighborhoods and get to know folks and show them that Liberals are good caring people.

BTw, I am doing this. I did it for Kerry and discovered that I like it MUCH better than phoning.

6. Here's one for you
 I often feel the same way. I am way too sick and tired of getting my hopes nup for nothing.

7. I appreciate it greatly
Now keeping hope alive for November. We're gonna stick it to those neo-fascist bastards at long last.
