I saw in one of my small, insignificant dreams, GD stopped moving
everyone stopped for just a minute and thought about peace instead of the "fight" of the day.

For just a few minutes, everyone focused on and thought about peace. Not who was wronged today, not what some dumbshit said today, not how to interpret what someone said halfway around the universe.

For just a few minutes, everyone thought about peace, and what that could mean.

I saw it.

1. It's what "they" cannot take away from us
It is our most powerful weapon. Imagine collecting our thoughts and focusing together on PEACE.

Beautiful, MoseyWalker

2. There is nothing 'small' or 'insignificant' about Peace.
Dream on, MW, and I will dream with you. And if enough people can dream together maybe we can all wake up one day and find it really isn't a dream.

3. Peace does seem like a dream sometimes
But it can be very real, and I think some day it will.

4. It's worth a try
I pray for it, and pray that the greed and arrogance will stop. There is a lot of power, though, if large numbers of people pray, and concentrate, for the same thing. Sometimes, I do meditate about peace, and in my mind, I hear John Lennon singing "Imagine". It's a powerful image to boost your prayers and thoughts. Even if it were to accomplish nothing else, it would remove hatred and destruction from the thoughts that we all think. It might change our way of thinking about other people, and make us more receptive to trying to solve problems in a peaceful, more evolved way. It's certainly worth a try, and waging war after war doesn't work.

Greed, and power grabs do not accomplish anything for the majority of mankind, and solving the vast living standards between the wealthy and the working people, the elderly, the ill, the children, would surely go mitigate the reasons for hating each other. This is something that I think we can achieve, if we all unite to make it happen.

5. If we all listen to
the thoughts and feelings we have in response to life, it could happen.

Respond to others as you would respond to your thoughts.

To yourself.

Is there some barrier in place now that causes people not to be able to think about or feel peace?

Not here, my friends.

I listen to my conscience.

I listen to others.

I am tired of anger and fear and hurt.

I am.

6. Wow
Is everyone so wrapped inside their personal battles that they have no idea?

I'm disappointed.

Sorry.

At least I'm not like many who fight and get angry and say hurtful things.

I'm simply disappointed.

7. Sometimes
the simplest of actions is the hardest to accomplish. People want to have immediate results, and are not willing to take one step, then another, until they reach their destination. I think that these days, people have been ground into dirt too many times, and are letting their frustration and anger bubble up to the surface.

I have a much higher tolerance to things that a lot of people, but that's due to a life filled with losing loved ones, a lot of them, I decided that each of us must be willing to keep up the fight for peace. I think that many are wrapped up in their personal battles, because so many things have happened in the last few years, that we continue to be pushed off-balanced by some new, even more draconian move on the part of Republicans.

So many things have happened under Bush, that people have not been able to collect their breath and let go of the anger, because the things causing that anger are truly destructive. The other side knows this, and keeps on like some implacable machine, mowing down common sense, love, and fairness. We need to step outside ourselves, and acknowledge that yes, they are thugs, and criminals, and corrupt, but we can't fight them if we spend too much time consumed in rage. We can only fight them by overcoming rage, however justified it is, and smoothing out the knots in the tangled yarn they present.

I hope something will happen to restore your confidence, and belief that we can make a peaceful world, if every person who believes in peace makes every effort to achieve it.
