over the firing of one of our friends. I know that sounds extreme but it sure as hell got the attention of the management. I'll never forget driving down the road tuned in to the station and hearing the "click, click, click" as the album I had playing ended. Everyone was back the next day including the dj that was fired. Solidarity can be a great thing but it is all too rare these days.

They have nothing to do with Air America. Air America was leasing time from a radio station in NYC WLIB. They buy the airtime from the owner Inner City Broadcasting. They had some problems paying bills (they really do have financial trouble) so the station WLIB sold the time period for Mike Malloy (10pm to 1AM) to another show thus the Satellite Sisters.

Yeah they suck but the station owner had control. Nothing anyone, including Air America, could do.

What does Air America have against Mikes? First Maron, who kept me sane in the mornings (podcast), now Malloy. Their loyal listening audience listened to the talent that started the network, but they keep getting rid of the reasons we listened in the first place! I haven't listened to Jerry Springer at all, I switch to the local station so I can avoid him, then switch back for Al and Randy (although even Al is getting a little tiresome.)

I will just start with the local and stay there all day from now on. Stupid, stupid, stupid. They are going to fall apart, and prove Rush right. Stupid.
