When Howard Dean stutters..
Edited on Wed Aug-30-06 07:12 PM by Roxy66
it does not help get out our message. I wish he wouldnt come across so flustered. He needs to slow down a little.

3. I didn't think he seemed flustered at all. He speaks very fast,
and maybe he should slow down a bit, but there was nothing about his delivery that seemed flustered in the least.

6. I thought he did an excellent job
I don't care how he is presented, I care what he says and believes.

I wish this country didn't judge everyone on "presentation".

Not saying you are, just saying my thoughts.

than Bush** has stumbled thru in 6 gawd-awful years.

I'm no Deaniac but at least what he says has the ring of truth.

will be all over his case. I know he has a tough enough hide to take it, but I don't. It irks me to death when they act like a gaggle of ravening wolves to our good doctor. Ugggg!!

21. I LOVE HD but he could have used better adjs than 'silly' and
'riduculous' to describe Bushco. How about 'criminally incompetent' 'traitorous' ? or SOMETHING a little harder hitting ?

IMHO He's NOT the best off-the-cuff speaker as far as florid vocabulary, but his honesty always shines through

It's trashing him for a reason that doesn't exist.

Plus, even though he did NOT stutter, your comment is less than nice to people who do stutter. Not nice.

And, I see PLENTY of criticism of the Doctor on DU. Maybe you've been reading the Bizarro DU or something.

37. Do you seriously think Howard Dean lacks confidence??? Huh??
Now, that is one criticism of the man I have never heard.

Dean's brain moves very fast and I think sometimes his mouth has to work to catch up, so he trips a bit (I have the same problem), but he has definitely improved over time, slowing down a bit. I think he also knows he has very limited time to get his points across and tries to maximize that.

However, he ALWAYS comes across as very strong and confident in his points, very convincing and persuasive, very solid.

I would never think of him or his delivery as anything less than completely confident.

51. He Confused 9/11 With Iraq
He misspoke when he said "* wanted to go after Sadamm right after he took office, and that was 9 months before Iraq."

I heard him say it, and realized it was a mistake, but he made it nonetheless. True, sometimes he needs to just slow down a bit, he's got the right idea.

Rather hear him than any wingnut. Even misspeaking.
