fox news ratings plummet
Somewhere, Keith Olbermann is sticking pins in a Bill O'Reilly voodoo doll: Fox News' ratings, TVNewser reports, are down since August of last year. Like, way down. Like down 28 percent in primetime among all viewers, down 20 percent in primetime in the "money demo" (viewers aged 25-54) and down 7 percent in daytime viewership overall. In fact, the only place Fox is up is during the day, when they managed a ratings increase of just 2 percent, and even then only in the money demo.

2. My wife and I watch Greta...
...and Shepard Smith is an ex co-worker of mine so I watch him too from time to time. We never watch the "shout shows".
On an interesting note, Shepard Smith was on Greta's show two nights ago and he was telling her that no matter who or what tells you that there were no mass rapes and murders in the Superdome or convention center, he swears there was as he claims to have seen cases of it, talked to victims and family members who had been brutalized etc.
Much like the cover-up with hurricane Charlie down here in '04. First day after on the news you heard about so many victims that bodies were stacked chest high, two days later, "oh, just kidding, nobody hurt down here". Ask my ex boss who has family down there and it brings tears to his eyes even now as he saw it for himself.
The so-called, "still missing" in New Orleans in my opinion are among the 1700 plus (reported) deceased and are in the gulf.

3. Are they still number 1?
IF CNN and MSNBC's ratings dropped proportionately then it's only a limited victory.

4. Up during the day with viewers aged 25-54?
Apparently fewer of them are employed now?

5. Doing my part. I complain long and hard when I walk into a business
that has TVs blaring. I always ask them why they are so interested in what the Saudis have to report. When they say "what?" I go into my little Prince Al-Walid screed. So far, I have revisited three business. All three have nixed Fox. One had the TVs off (did they see me coming  ) and the others had the ticker tape channel on.

6. there are many small cable companies here in Texas
that only offer FNC on their basic cable. If it is the same across the country could that be the reason FNC continues to have so many more viewers?
